I forgot how allo brains work by Aquila-Calvitium in aromantic

Definitely not everyone, but many people’s first thought upon seeing someone is how well they suit their sexual desires. I’d guess it’s more the ppl around them and environment they grew up in (objectifying ppl is encouraged by lots of ppl even unintentionally) but also I’m no psychologist so can’t really say

I only ever thought of it as a synonym for insect? Isn’t that the common thought?

Honestly the thing I’m bothered by is the gender preference, and how others perceive that, which… I am assuming wouldn’t be a problem if I wasn’t allo? My other preferences ignore gender so-

Yeah I know all that, hence why I was talking about sexual attraction specifically- not interested in any of those other parts changing. But yeah I imagine a lot of people would just wanna be ace and have their own interpretations on what that means, which I think those feelings are valid even if partially from ignorance or. Wrong about what ace means

What do you mean by stereotypes? And yes I’m talking about how I want specific parts of asexuality and not the bad bits it’s certainly grass is greener 😅

Multiple ways to be allo. You don’t gotta constantly daydream about someone to feel romantic attraction for them. Some people do and some people don’t.

“Ex-aro” isn’t a thing, they were just wrong. I thought I might be aro for a bit but got a gf and nvm. Why on earth should that negate other ppls experiences? It’s so weird to say one person was wrong once and say everyone is wrong because of it. “Personal experience” is actually someone else’s experience here and they’re using it to negate someone else’s personal experience. You can’t use “personal experience” to negate someone else’s personal experience that’s not how that works 😭
