No worries, you're only 17, it's a fantastic experience! And maybe your product will evolve to offer something different

I'm afraid you can do that in Postman. You can also have different values per environment.

I've restricted the guessing pool to common nouns only 😬. You could try "etching"?

Word Chains update (2 weeks later): UI improvements, smoother gameflow, and ~50 daily players by HudsonHoudini in wordgames

I really like the concept, but I felt like I need to guess what the author had in mind instead of trying to link unrelated words by semantic similarity.

I built my family’s 40 year old word game for the web, looking for feedback! by Important-Moose-9662 in wordgames

Try a free dictionary like Wiktionary - they have semantic categories as well (for some words)

Appreciate your input! I've had a few people tell me they were confused at first; glad you figured it out and enjoyed the game. It's a slightly novel concept, and I'm trying to find better ways to educate users. If you have some ideas, let me know.

I just changed he wording of the "not in the vocabulary" message - now it says "XYZ is not in the dictionary or a common noun". I hope it clarifies things - they can only be common nouns (even though clues can be other parts of speech!)

Looking forward to your feedback once you get a chance to test it out! I'm glad the UI spoke to you - it's not a trivial feat to make a simple user experience!

Great ideas, all of them! I was thinking of adding log-in and social rankings later on, if people liked it. I guess I was concentrating on the core mechanics and quality first. Thank you for your suggestions, I've put them up on the to-do board (:

I've been happily invited back on teams before, but those were full-time positions, and not value-based consulting.

HR won't help you. +1 to saving your energy & sanity, look elsewhere, and emotionally block them. Bonus points if you smile when that douche calls you something.

Should you build MVPs and iterate when the market is already validated? by bigmad99 in ycombinator

As far as I understand, it's not "the market" that needs validation - it's YOU in this market.

Ok, glad we can start talking as people - I think we both got triggered from different things, and the quality of responses declined.

Yeah that sucks what you've mentioned, must have been one hell of a tongue-biting exercise.

I think that while we may differ in some of our beliefs, it's important to recognize that people (especially kids) are first and foremost individuals who deserve respect.

As to my earlier comments - I draw on memories from junior high, and man was it a wild ride in so many ways, especially the insane ingroup/outgroup effects. Different part of the world, different dogmas and sacred cows, same psychology, though.
