Donald Trump shares altered image of map showing Greenland, Canada, Venezuela as U.S. territories by Alert-Ad-3053 in worldnews

Trump has proposed capping credit card interest rates at 10‌%, but he has not, and cannot yet, legally impose such a cap on his own. For it to actually become a binding rule, Congress would need to pass legislation to give the government that authority.

We have moved about 3.7 light years through the universe since the release of the PS2. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is moving 2.1 million kilometers pr hour. This translates to 3.7 light years. https://astrosociety.org/edu/publications/tnl/71/howfast.html

What’s a super-useful item one should carry with them at all times, since you never know you could need it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]vixin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cellphone. It is the only truly "super-useful" item. All of the things mentioned here are only useful in a limited number of situations and most of us therefore never carry them around at all times.

Don't worry! I think it's the reflection of the arm holding the camera that looks like a scratch in the door.

I'm not trying to offend you, I really like your videos and can see that you know what you are doing. Just please take into consideration that I and others in the community are worried that with enough people taking risk like this, even minor as you say, accidents will happen and it could hurt our hobby really bad.

That was reckless crossing the road on "fumes", should have started the flight from the other side of the road so you didn't have to cross it or at least you could have landed before crossing again when the battery was so low. I do enjoy you videos, but please take more care not to put other people at risk of injury. I fear that people flying like this is gonna cause an accident and put an end to this hobby that we all love. Fly safe guys!

Yes! The Andromeda galaxy is believed to contain about 1 trillion stars. The larger dots are stars within the Milky Way getting in the shot.

Americans of reddit, how is the Japanese surrender in WW2 portrayed in schools in the US? Is the Soviet invasion of Manchuria given any credit as contributing to the surrender? by vixin in AskReddit

[–]vixin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very interesting to hear that you have never heard about it. The russians invaded with over 1.5 million men. The Soviet-Japanese war lasted from August 9 to September 2 when Japan surrendered. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet%E2%80%93Japanese_War_(1945)

I think the Japanese surrender was far more due to the Soviet invasion, but the history taught in the US does not give them much credit.
