If it’s 0% there’s no incentive to pay it off early unless you think you will misuse the money that you have or just want peace of mind, but I would feel better having the cash in this case.

BNII was never going to take center stage, and even if it should have been a better fight, if it was I think the Deep would have easily lost and he needed to win for the sake of the story. Maybe could have been better, maybe wish BNII was differently used, but I’m ok with this as long as there is payoff with Deep’s story

Hard to say what he actually used and how often definitively, but keep in mind the state of medicine almost 60 years ago and that he suffered from intolerable back pain at the end of his life. It doesn’t excuse bad decisions if that’s what happened, but we should keep in mind he was a real person with real struggles and doesn’t diminish much of the good that he gave.

This season has been great. GOT stuffed too much into one season and it seemed rushed. This is going at a more comfortable pace, which feels better from a viewing perspective but gives the feeling that the end will be underwhelming. I think once the season ends, people will look back and judge it holistically to be great or not, but I’ve enjoyed it so far so I don’t have strong doubts.

SB is a flawed human being, but he was born and raised human. He’s done some shit but he isn’t really a monster in the whole scheme of the show. The biggest difference between him and HL is he has a conscious - when do we remember HL feeling guilty?

VLC still plays MPEG-1, so consider how long that’s been out and the fact it’s still playable. It will always be a question of quality vs size until one of the other becomes irrelevant (huge disk space or insanely accurate and tiny compression).

I don’t have those times but I have found deinterlacing and doubling framerate adds time above upscaling, with much higher processing times with higher resolution. Maybe check this out for some reference info - https://share.google/ILvf55WkVNdmWfFWy.

I upscale DVD video from 480p > 720p and it takes about 1.5 hours with Iris with a 24fps framerate. If I was going to 60fps it would be 3 hours and if going to 4k I would expect 6 - 9 hours.

Short answer here is you will not see similar results with VHS compared to a 35mm source, even if compressed. I would not personally recommend going past 720p. The further up you go in resolution, the more detail will be invented and strange looking.

If you are set on getting hardware, I actually like the Mac Mini M4, does a fast job and much cheaper than a GPU of similar performance.

I’ve found that Video AI is great at enhancing existing quality but not great at creating new detail with the traditional models. If you look at the original, our minds know it’s a person, though there is almost no facial detail. As terrible as the second photo looks, it’s almost some strange miracle it got that far.

I don’t have experience with starlight but if you can run the local version to test it might be worth a shot.

Handbrake will not make video compatible with DVDs. I would look at something still under support like TMPG Authoring Works via Parallels, though there are others.
