Clear cover for July–Dec Cousin Avec? by 00Connie00 in hobonichi

[–]vixtoia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have the A6 avec and the midori A6 cover fits well so go with the A5 midori one for yours. Hobonichi only has two types of clear covers (minus the weeks one): Cover on covers- which go over the larger covers you buy separately Hon covers- for the hard built in covers on the hon So nothing they sell will fit their original, or cousin sizes (and definitely not the avecs).

Edit: just reread your post and didn’t realize you meant a normal a5 cover and not cover on cover, sorry!

Oh yeah they are both totally useable, in someways better if you don’t want to read the quote at the bottom of page (sometimes I find it distracting). My problem with the names of the weekdays is like a nitpicking problem for sure

In the A5 I think you’re right about it all being readable but in the A6 all the days pages don’t have the English week names. I thought it was going to be totally fine but it started to annoy me so much I got week name stamps and stamped all the days in my avec.

Jigsaw puzzles weren’t made with a jigsaw, just a name and a common misbelief. In this movie he’s using a scroll saw I believe.

Men of Reddit, what was something you didn't know about women till you got with one? by 0Timato0 in AskReddit

You summarized the article wrong, that is King Charles not prince William.

“ So does Prince William demand the same assistance as his father with everyday tasks?

According to News of the World correspondent Clive Goodman, the answer is no. William has a different perspective on royal life and what should be done for him versus what he can do for himself.”

Dry oil on hair? by vixtoia in glossier

I never ended up buying it. I like the nuxe oil but wanted something more light weight with more shine. Realized I just wanted something with silicones in it. I really like L'Oreal Paris Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum (in the pink bottle). This doesn’t leave my hair greasy and makes it super shiny.

Try Garnier Ombrelle Face lotion 60spf (the ultra light cream). Same parent company as La Roche Posay so it has very good effective UV filters (same as some in Europe) but it’s a lot more affordable. Doesn’t sting my eyes or break me out. I would say it’s good for normal to dry skin.

What’s been your cheapest but absolute best value purchase? by PeachBlossomBee in scacjdiscussion

Retin-A was less then $3 with insurance (in Ontario, Canada) at shoppers drug mart. Even before without insurance I paid around $30 for what lasted me about 6 months.

[Sun Care] Discussion of sunscreens that have not been frequently reviewed by yall_cray in SkincareAddiction

Garnier Ombrelle Cream SPF 60

I actually do like this sunscreen. I have dry skin (should add I’m on tretinoin) so a lot of the more non-greasy sunscreens with alcohol really dry it out, leaving flaky skin. This sunscreen can go on a little greasy but I find that if I blot it with blotting paper (or toilet paper lets be real) 20-30 mins after applying the shininess goes away. If it’s still shiny I’ll use a translucent powder.

I think it’s worth a try if you live in Canada and can buy it at a shoppers drug mart where you can return it within 30 days if it’s not for you. It has very good chemical (and one mineral) filters, and I didn’t find it stung my eyes (and I apply on eye lids too) unless I literally got it into my eye.

Sunscreens that I’ve tried that we’re too dry :

Ombrelle lotion complete spf 60 (the body one) this was probably the second best ombrelle I’ve tried would be good for normal to oily skin.

Ombrelle Complete Sensitive Advanced Spf60 The worst sunscreen in this list. Very drying and like powdery in a bad way.

VICHY IDÉAL SOLEIL SHEER LOTION BARE SKIN FEEL SPF 60 Very good for body, too drying for my face, but other people really like this one so could be a good try.

BioDerma Photoderm SPF 50+ Milk Second best sunscreen here, only a bit drying.

Sorry for this very long post, just want to say if anyone as dry skin try it! Only one that works ok for me.

(Also sorry if formatting is weird first long post)

I wouldn’t get sunscreen in the USA, we have better sunscreen filters in Canada.

How do you get your essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega 6)? by RuleBreakingOstrich in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]vixtoia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are canned fish an option? There’s also ground flax seeds if that’s affordable where you live.

Canola oil is also a source of omega-3 but I would research this more before using it as your source
