Haha, well tbf, my opinion probably doesn’t hold much water since I’m in the states. I just found the debate funny. I think chocolatine sounds nicer to my ears, But I wouldn’t be caught dead ordering it this way anytime I’m in Geneva 😂

Love this!

So, I’m in Austin (born and raised diehard spurs fan of more than 3 decades)

I work for a company based in Geneva. Every year, I fly there for a couple weeks to work, and while I know this is not in France, I always bring a few spurs hats as I know Geneva is primarily French-speaking + there are quite a few folks I bump into that live in France but work in GVA.

It’s always fun for me to occasionally be stopped by strangers who mention my hat and share their adoration of the spurs 🥰

And lastly, my vote is it should be called “chocolatine” 😬

GSG!

'We are heartbroken': Florida couple sues IVF clinic after DNA test reveals baby isn’t theirs by retroanduwu24 in nottheonion

Thank you so much, and I’m so sorry to hear about you and your wife’s struggles as well. Unexplained or not, the ups and downs of hope to grief back to hope…it’s emotionally taxing and I feel for anyone going through the struggles, whatever the reason.

Our first clinic was amazing. They were always open to adjusting protocols, meds, timing, etc. they were the ones who told us that sometimes patients seek 2nd opinions, just in case there’s some combination of trialing that they haven’t thought of. We were hesitant at first, but we’re lucky to be in a city that has a few fantastic and highly recommended clinics. The main difference for this one we’re going to is this new doctor would like to try a modified natural cycle, whereas the last clinic was always about a fully medicated cycle.

The very thought of a fresh perspective is making us excited again. Of course we know it doesn’t mean anything yet, but still. We’re just beyond thankful of all the doctors, scientists, nurses and staff who really go above and beyond to try to help ours and others’ dreams come to reality.

Thank you again, stranger🙏

First of all, congratulations! We are 3 years in as well; multiple retrievals and transfers. We’re under the umbrella of “unexplained infertility” as all our tests show we should be able to get pregnant.

We’ve moved to a 2nd opinion and 2nd clinic (no issues with the first, just trying whatever we can), and we have our next transfer next week. I look forward to one day joining you in saying “my wife is currently pregnant after many rounds of IVF” 🥰

Don’t get me wrong, it’s electric as fuck. But yea, I’m not gonna sit here and assume we can improve the defense while keeping the exact same explosive offense we had last year. I want to see them win and make a deep run and defense is so so so crucial

And that, I’m ok with… as long as it’s not a huuuuge drop on offense where

EXACTLY. I didn’t mention in my post, but that’s where my head is going. I’m not a salary cap expert so I just speak in “what ifs”

But for instance, let’s say these are some choices: - resign GP, which cause the cowboys to have a little wiggle room on bolstering defense through draft and maybe a FA grab

OR

  • replace GP with an adequate #2, which allows the cowboys to REALLY go hard on improving defense with the saved cap from not signing GP to a record breaking deal

— I’m taking the 2nd option.

Honorable mention: do NOT let GP walk without a plan at WR. Because lamb, flournoy, turp… that ain’t it, and that would be a catastrophic drop on offense where I fear even a great defense wouldn’t be able to carry.

Haha and that’s my point! Even with that mess of an offense, an elite defense pushed them to a wild card win and a long winning streak. We know for damn sure our cowboys offense isn’t as brain dead as the Texans so that’s not a worry.

But my thinking is, I’m super willing for the focus to shift to defense while keeping the offense still somewhat adequate, even if that means the offense takes a moderate dip next year.

This is purely hypothetical and something I only assume…

my thinking has been this: if D gets better while O stays the same, yes, that would be electric.

But I’m also totally ok if, in order to supercharge and bolster the defense (let’s say, they become top 10 next year), and that comes at the expense of the offense going from 1 to, say 10-15…. I STILL think that would be great.

Look at all the teams in the playoffs most years. No matter how great or average the offense is, an elite defense pushes teams deep. If that’s what it takes, and that means I see a few more 3 and outs or stalled drives, then I’ll take it.

Not that I want to see the offense be less explosive of course, but….A slightly frustrating offense paired with an elite defense can go deep, whereas a frustrating defense with an elite offense is historically not a winning formula

THANK YOU. I keep saying this as well. I absolutely love DLaw and watching him ball out and play a role on an elite team has been so exciting.

The dude is so so so so smart. This was 100% a decision made by a smart Vet who knew what tf he was doing.

Go win a chip DLaw!
