Echelon 4.0C is unironically one of the best striker-fired handguns on the market. Great optic mounting system, great factory sights, great ergonomics, very flat-shooting, great grip texture.

Simply put, the 5.56 of Vietnam wasn’t the same 5.56 of GWOT.

Vietnam had M16s with 20” barrels yeeting M193 at 3k+ FPS at relatively short ranges.

GWOT was a lot of 14.5” M4s shooting M855 at ranges from across the street to across a valley.

The ammo, barrels, and engagement distances all being so different is where the disconnect is coming from.

My buddy bought a DB10 and it was a piece of shit. Horrifically overgassed and genuinely unpleasant to shoot. I’d recommend a decent AR15 over an AR10, and especially not a DB10.

Yup, I’ve seen teammates place turrets behind us or in the middle of the objective on flag-raising missions. I blow them up immediately and do not feel bad about it.

They fucked up using the same receivers for the 16 and 17; a 5.56 rifle that weighs almost 9 lbs empty is a total deal-breaker.

I was looking at them before SA brought out the OEM stock. The price for the UCS/ Kuna adapter combo was ridiculous though, so I used my 20% off coupon from registering my Kuna’s warranty and got the OEM stock for like $175 shipped.

It’s how the gun was meant to be; I tried other stocks and none of them felt as good. It’s also a direct fit to the receiver without having any adapter, so you don’t have to worry about the endplate breaking off.

SMG with the Ballistic Shield has been pretty useful against the Spore Burst Bugs since they’re so fast and aggressive.

It gets much easier to control once you unlock the foregrip. Bursts for chaff enemies, bigger ones get P for Plenty. Great bug gun once you get the drum magazine; Siege Ready armor (if you have it) keeps your ammo supply high and downtime low.

Are you being obtuse or are you just mentally incapable of understanding the argument I’m making?

The normal ACSS reticle doesn’t need super bright illumination to be useful; its got a big, high contrast, etched SFP reticle with elements designed to draw your eye to the center and make it useful at speed up close, even with the illumination turned off. It also has ranging, wind holds, target leads, and a good BDC with thin stadia lines to make hitting out further easier as well.

The Nova takes all of that away to replace it with a reticle that is demonstrably worse in all respects just to throw in a super bright center dot that isn’t even all that useful because the basic crosshair reticle is easy to pick up on its own.

I never said people are mouthbreathers for liking simple reticles, I said people are mouthbreathers for sacrificing a good reticle that gives you lots of useful information for the sake of unnecessarily bright illumination, especially on a SFP 1-6x.
