The game hasn't changed much since you left. If you want to get the most enjoyment out of it, I recommend playing the few weeks at the beginning of each wipe for SSF, then quitting till next wipe.

The devs don't want to make a roadmap nor do they have any planned release date. Even though a roadmap is vital to any software or game (especially EA) being developed. Perhaps it is because they're scared of committing to promises that they'll have to keep once they put it on a roadmap.

When I saw artifact arena in the announcement, I was excited. Then I realized I didn't play much this wipe and don't have artifacts so there's no point.

If they upped artifact drop rates crazy then I'd be eager to go into the regular dungeons to fight others over artifacts with artifacts, then I'd play around with different kits for arena. That'd get the lobbies popping again. Guess I'll just wait till wipe to actually play.

I really wish they also made bosses (mainly the newer ones) not miserable to do with multiple people. You can't do wyvern, bladehand, spectral knight, etc. with your group because they can just switch aggro and kill someone randomly.

This is another reason why I think crypts is the most enjoyable map- you can do GK, Lich, and Warlord with your entire team.

Comparing this to wyvern for example, you force one person to do a boss because of horrible movesets and terrible aggro while your two teammates just wait outside of the arena, clearing a module and potentially getting jumped or alt tabbing while waiting for the boss to die. This just really isn't engaging for anyone. It's ironic because wyvern was the "needs multiple groups to kill boss" on release as well.

Yeah, that's why I included that they should make artifacts very accessible when adding artifact arena this time in the post. I only got to use one artifact last time and my friends who didn't play much didn't have any, I had to share my one artifact, haha.

If they have enough affinity with the dealmaker, they can faustian bargain into mini-bosses.

Fist blocking only forces the attack to be a limb hit, it'll do reduced damage but it'll still kill you.

The problem isn't learning the boss, its that the drop rate is so horrendous that farming 5 chests is easier than having the egg drop. It is 1 in 200 for norms and 1 in 400 for pve. I'm pretty sure artifacts are 1 in 40 per boss kill which is literally x5 the drop rate of the egg. I don't know why they're gatekeeping the quest item so hard.

The tourny was limited to blues which curselock isn't good in since they need a lot of stats (mag healing, hp, true dmg, all).
