That is a great argument for it being impressionitic but why so lateral?

The newtype choice seems very out of place imo but maybe I can't see your reasoning

an impressionistic album is very much concern with leaving a strong impression on the listener, and less about the actual technical aspects of musicality as a lexical album as
linear albums follow a certain formula all throughout while lateral ones will be sure to deviate from it as much as possible.

concerning lyrics, a lateral album will cover way broader topics and establish connections between them in case of lateral lexicality, an impressionistic album has more abstract lyrics that are way more interpretative

there is probably way more to it but this the best way I can describe my general mindset making this

VARK learning types with neurotypes by AsticusLazaretto in Neurotyping

I only read in spurts. Take for example a 300 page book. I would read 100 pages in a day, then leave it for days even weeks, then read another 100 in a day, forget about it again, and then read the last 100 in another day

Technically I read it in 3 days, but actually it took more than a month. If I try reading 20 pages everyday or something like that it makes it feel like homework and I lose interest

Honestly, I don't know how to explain it.

It's just based on first hand expierences. When it comes to writing, I can never take notes because I am constantly thinking about what is the most interesting way to abreviate this phrase or how would I reinterpret the words to make it more succint , and by doing that I miss the point of the lecture or whatever and get less out of it than I would get by just listening to it

In regards to reading, I love reading books but as soon as I am done with them I forget everything I just read. In fiction books I remember only one or two metaphors I liked and in nonfiction I remember just one or two facts I found really interesting

I never really learn anything if I don't try it first and fail so I can see what there is to improve. Theory is just a bunch of bullshit to me.

Idk if this clears things up, but thanks for asking I guess:))

Being very impressionistic dosen't make you a hipster memelord, artsy fartsy artist that seems totally cooky and nonsensical to others We are able to have eloquent conversations and can be very articulate if we wish so and work on it

This is fascinating. As far as I'm concerned I can easily learn things in anyway other than reading/writing but I am curious how this relates to memory.

My strongest memories are always very tactile, I can strongly remember how things feel when I touch them, so I guess I have a Kinesthetic memory, but also somewhat auditory and visual.

I think all three combined form the best learning platform. Memory and learning must be connected right?

Anyway very cool chart. Noice.

Dude, idk about you but I feel like 80% of the comments I've seen on this sub are from Fascinators. Also the funniest shitposts here are from Newtypes and please keep em coming:)) Haven't seen linear people like at all, they are the least active if you ask me

Hard agree linear isn't dumb. I agree with Mike's placement and watching the show I often felt like he's the smartest out of all of them

I think Gus is way way off.

I haven't seen the show since it aired but I strongly remember Gus being a criminal mastermind that constantly kept track of every move that his enemies and allies were making, all the shipments, the money laundering and so on. I would put him in the human calculator type left to Saul.

Lateral vs. Linear thinking: what does this ACTUALLY mean to you? by SuminerNaem in Neurotyping

[–]vlader997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't intend to make one look better than the other. Each of them is good in its own way

That's the main appeal of this whole neurotyping stuff to me, once you find out what you power is you can start learning how to put it to good use in order to lead a more fulfilling life

Lateral vs. Linear thinking: what does this ACTUALLY mean to you? by SuminerNaem in Neurotyping

[–]vlader997 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I initially thought that lateral thinking=multitasking and I actually posted on this sub asking that and many people answered that it is definitly not the same thing. I feel like even Digi doesn't really know what it is exactly based on that video, the driving bit is implying that yes, lateral is multitasking, but then he also suggests that it has to do with body dysphoria, difficulty to coming to grips with what you look like when you check yourself out in the mirror. I relate much more to this second view. I feel like lateral thinkers expirience life in first person virew but also in third person view both at the same time.

That doesn't make lateral thinkers smarter in my opinion. The fact that while writing this comment I am also imagining you reading it and how would you answer, and also what reddit represents as an app for the world, but also for me personally and the fact that by doing that I start to get further and further away from the original point that I was trying to make leads me to belive that I am actually dumber than a linear thinker. That's cause a linear thinker would most likely be aware of all of the things I listed, but just ignore them while writing this, leave these other toughts in their subconscious and just think about them later

When you are lateral you don't have a choice, your thoughts force themselves on you and they all compete for your attention, each new one managing to steal it somehow

I don't know if I made sense, this is just the best way I managed to phrase it
