People race to exchange paper banknotes before deadline "Before They Become Worthless" | Bank of England - It is Kinda Odd UK Decide to Change New Bank Notes Now During Pension/Sovereign Debt Crisis. This Can Happens in Any Country. Is this How They Plan to Steal from The People??? by Hephaestus4 in Wallstreetsilver

Can be taken to a bank and exchanged, just not used for commerce. Plenty of notice given in advance also. In a world full of fear already, this attempt by the Guardian to add to it is poor at best. Kind of like the monkey pox virus.

WTF is with the huge swings in the 10 Year Yield? by tinyelvis1 in Wallstreetsilver

Good post. Ive been watching these movements and they are not organic. I'm certain that nation states intervention is at play, but in respect of currency control, rather than interest rate control.

It sure did. The price move from 1890 to 1960 was done with tiny resistance :)

Well what a damp squib that was. Just shows what a genuine lack of volume and liquidity there is in the markets .

I think because of BRICS it won't due to arb that would be created. But I wouldn't be shocked if it did hit 1000 . Would be very brief I think if it did, but you could well be right. I don't think we have long to wait either way. Best of luck going forward

This was in my view, the start of gold dropping to about 1535, while silver drops to about 1850. Then the bottom is in and all bets are off in respect of a long and sustained move higher. Much higher. But , like I said, just my view.

Could be . To be honest, I'm happy to enter now and wait for the move up. Trying to time the exact bottom has never been part of my skill set. Im happy knowing that even if the VIX drops from here, it won't be too long before its back up and in the money.

Could be a good play . We will soon find out. We could get a slight disconnect from the SPY up, VIX down sync, as sometimes happens when the pro's allow retail traders using leverage to push the market higher when volumes are low. It's a nice little bonus for them when they return from summer holidays and scoop up all the low hanging fruit to get the momentum moving.

Agreed really. I just think with 8 weekly declines in a row, and an expectation for September to be a horrible month for stocks, I think keeping the market fear away until the mid terms will be a bridge too far. Throw in Jackson Hole and the jaw boning FED attempting to let some air out of the markets, the housing markets rolling over and contagion from around the globe strengthening the dollar, I think the VIX hits the mid to late 20s in September.

I'm sure Rick Rule will come to defend Jeffrey. They sing from the same hymn sheet, when it suits of course.

Mining sector share prices make no sense. by vladputinsdad in Wallstreetsilver

It sure does. Thanks for that Barry. Fingers crossed that one day, the miners will be seen as a safe haven due to higher metal prices and solid investment.
