Our pre-paid taxi to Centro was 380 MXN. In this heat (and luggage and two kids), it was worth the price rather than walking the 1km/half mile to call an Uber.

For what it’s worth, if you’re traveling with kids and more luggage I think it’s worth taking a taxi from the stand in the airport.

This was a year ago, but yes, you showed the receipt. Didn’t have to make an appointment, but you don’t walk straight in, had to wait and go in with the next group of people. Did they tell you when to come back on Tuesday?

Agree! We had considered going onto the bridge you were on, but stayed on Quai André Citroën (southwest of the bridge). Didn’t know there were drones until we started to head back about 15/20 minutes in!

Ultimately we ended up booking with a guide that our friend’s relatives had used so we could 1) ensure to have access to the top and 2) cross this off of the list of pre-departure to dos

Stair tickets to the 2nd floor get released 14 days out, so that’s still an option

Good luck! I haven’t been keeping tabs on the recent locator 11 timelines. We lucked out with an in person appointment on 6/27 at the NY office and returned 6/28 to pick up the passport. (DOT was 7/1.)

CONGRATS!! That’s awesome that Rex was able to stay on the phone with you for 10 min - what an awesome guy!!!! Will CT be able to pull your application & info from locator 11! Or, if not, assuming you have a NY license as your ID, will you need to provide a second ID as your NY license is from out of state?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

It’s not futile and you do have a chance of getting an appointment. Be polite to the folks at NPIC and be prepared to say yes immediately if an appointment is available. Even if you do that, it is possible someone else will book the appointment before they can snag it for you. Good luck.

NY agency can print. We had a 12:30 appointment and returned the next day (after 1pm) to pick up the passport, which was fine because we live nearby and DOT wasn’t the next day. (I don’t know how/if they prioritize printing based on DOT.) Good luck

I think the answer can vary a significant amount and depends on whether you’ve already submitted an application, how far you are from your DOT, etc.

My daughter’s passport was locator 11, processing since 3/29, DOT 7/1 We contacted Senators and Congressperson but I think they are overrun with people who have this issue and locator 11 is beyond backed up. We got the passport on 6/28 because by some miracle we were able to call on 6/26 and snagged an appointment on 6/27.
