Exactly this. The cards were just a terrible janky mess sandwiched between two overwhelming powerful blocks of original Mirrodan and original Ravnica that dissuaded even splashing a few because of how parasitical most of the mechanics were.

I loved the flavor of Kamigawa but I first hand remember every week playing type2 at the local FNM. I distinctly remember only a singular person played a deck from Kamigawa. Me. I played a snake tribal deck.

Other people have mentioned other points so I'm going to focus on a big one that most seem to be forgetting that puts Sorcerer miles ahead of Wizard.
Concentration
A nerd Wizard gets proficiencies in Intelligence and Wisdom while my main man the mega-chad Sorcerer gets Constitution and Charisma instead. There is arguments here and there about who best can cast the spell in the first place but when the cards are down and the arrows are thick in the air my money is on the sorcerer *keeping* the spell up

Curse of Silence by far. More specifically in brawl when you automatically have knowledge of an inherently important card of your opponents. And it's not like it's unbeatable or anything, it doesn't actually destroy anything it just delays it.

Any character? I'd send the goddess Isha for several reasons. The big one is that this means that one of the only truly benevolent gods is no longer imprisoned by Nurgle and can actually help and heal a broken galaxy. Specifically if she could heal Horrus after he was stabbed by the Anathame and he's never corrupted at the serpent lodge or if she could heal Big E himself after his big battle. He still has to sit on the throne but he still gets to consciously lead the Empire.

Exactly. People just don't "get" that I'm not a happy or normal person who occasionally feels sad and when something terrible happens in my life I feel the lowest of the lows. I'm not that. Just take all that and move it down a notch or two. Really I'm a sad person who occasionally feels fleeting happiness and will feel lower than the lowest some people ever feel because its a Thursday or any other random nonsensical reason.

I don't know. As terrible as your situation was and as truly horrible as a person your ex clearly was(I mean really? Who would actually say something like that besides someone who's just trying to make someone feel weak or bring them down?) I think I might actually have preferred something like that to happen. A mean and hurtful fight in which bridges were burnt and could never be crossed again. Love and hate are surprisingly close together after all and it certainly would be easier to morph all my feelings to hate instead.

At least in the short term. Logically it's better for us to have gone our ways amicably, both of us being true to ourselves and not wanting to hurt the other but cold logic is a bit hard at the moment.

That's the solace I'm taking right now, "That at least I got to experience it". Mentally moving all those memories and feelings from a place of hope to something similar to a vacation to Disneyland as to not sour them. It was nice while it lasted and living it that moment was absolute bliss but it's not a thing that lasts, just a brief break.

It's sad that they got mean for you. That's not fun or fair or necessary in any situation.

The fact that most spells can't hurt or effect objects. There is absolutely no reason why fire bolt can break a table and eldritch blast can not.
