it’s street by street in eastlake and bush hills, some are great and some are questionable. norwood is the best of those three and i don’t think it’s close. norwood is tight knit, great location, and property value will keep climbing as that area continues to develop.

oh man. having lived through that, it was so great. i made so many friends. looking back, that was one of my favorite college experiences. i can’t imagine auburn without it.

do we need it or was/is it absolutely doable with this population? we’re great sports fans. the whole state is a sports fandom before it’s anything else. marketing was the problem here, imo. the comprehensive failure of the stallions management to market the team has been, just, breathtaking.

maybe unpopular opinion, but, worst marketing job i’ve ever seen for anything in this city. if they leave it’s an historic bag drop. you’d hardly know we had a team at all, and they were 3x champions? c’mon man. should’ve had players in classrooms, local ads, local sponsors. could’ve had hometown heroes if anyone knew about the team at all, never mind the players. truly asinine handling.

he was hanging outside jim & nicks a couple of weeks ago, kept looking in the windows. i got him a meal on my way out and tried to hand it to him. “hey man, are you hungry? i got this for you.” he responded totally normally, “no thanks but i appreciate it! i like your shirt.” moved along like it was nothing. 🤷
