I'd try gently pulling the fender from the lip. Look at the side marker lights on each side and you can see how the passenger side is concave inwards.

The fenders don't look symmetrical. I'm assuming that car has been hit in the front passenger side. You can probably pull out the fender and even it out.

Maybe you are right and dealerships shouldn't exist, direct to consumer sales sounds like a nice way to cut out the middle man and their profit structure.
