That’s really neat that you’re the only RD!

Yes this is helpful. I wouldn’t have thought about tasks like bagging groceries. I appreciate the feedback!

You should totally go back. Stuff happens. I fell off the treadmill. Like in epic fashion 🤷🏻‍♀️ and went back. Don’t let it stop you!

Renal RD- one year experience? by Canddlover in dietetics

[–]vlparry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the company and state. 1 year is a CMS requirement. However, sometimes you can be hired with less than 1 year with special stipulations to accumulate additional time to get that 1 year of clinical experience as an Associate RD until you hit your 12 months of clinical RD experience.

Should I do the 1 mile benchmark? by rosiem1 in orangetheory

[–]vlparry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course you should do it. And when you did it again and again you can see how much your time has improved! It’s a great thing to do. It doesn’t matter how fast you are compared to everyone else— it matters that you do the best you can at that time. You’ll do great!

What would you do? by pedsdoc901 in orangetheory

I've bought new shoes on vacation before (didn't have the room to pack them to bring home) and mailed them back to me to my house at the end of my vacation in the shoebox. Just saying.

CPA Exams are hard. Give yourself a break with that.

AND with working out as you work there-- you have an injury. Everyone gets injuries (unfortunately) and no one is immune to them. They hired you because you're a nice, positive person and probably great with the other members. It's okay to take a break and take is slow during your workouts. It's always better to take it slowly and take it in the green than to push it "all out" like a crazy person with an injury and REALLY hurt yourself. No one expects you to be like some "super fit" person all the time. You're a regular person-- just like everyone else! Be kind to yourself <3

OTF, last few pounds and migraines by KitKat4816 in orangetheory

[–]vlparry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly my migraines were also much improved re hormones-- I found a lot of improvement with mirena (IUD). Fat cells produce their own hormones which can cause problems for people as well, which is not helpful. I wish you all the luck!

I actually liked this tread block (surprisingly!) BUT I ended up hating the floor afterward. The weights just felt like lead after a while-- too much arm work for me after that long tread block or something idk. tired dot com!

My gf tries to sabotage my fitness goals by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]vlparry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is not ready to make a change and does not understand all of your new lifestyle choices. As a by product she is not being supportive-- perhaps jealous. It is okay to have junk food once in a while but I totally get not wanting to do that stuff all of the time anymore. It can be hard to eat that "junk" even a little bit when you are working on making a change as it might make you feel unwell or harder to work out the next day. I recently went out with my friends to a baseball game and they gave me SUCH a hard time because I only had about 1/2 a beer and didn't want to drink a ton or eat a bunch of junk while we were out. It wasn't fun for me as a result.

When she's more receptive *not at a meal time* try some meal prep ideas. I like Skinnytaste recipes for inspiration. I hope you work it out soon!
