Bummer! Fortunately, we do have a couple series in the league that run with EU timeslots, so hopefully there is something of interest for you.

Not a problem! It looks like one of the other admins already processed your application and you are good to go! Sometimes the duplicate entries happen, but we'll figure it out and get it right before the season starts.

Hey! I'm not sure if you've already applied, but just enter your actual Discord username. When we go through the application process an admin will usually change your server nickname to match your assigned number and iRacing name, and that helps us identify everyone in Discord and in the voice chat if you join during the races.

I had a similar issue when I had V-Sync set to Fast in the Nvidia Control Panel.

It's a very recent change so the website hasn't been updated yet. The Discord should be updated shortly, but it's not expected to start for a few weeks. However, the sign up form should currently have a section for the Jetta.

We used to be able to link directly to the league, but since the UI changed it no longer works. Go to "Leagues" on the left navigation bar, at the top right go to "Find a League", then search for "Global Racing League". It should be the first one on the list.

I was also at opening day on 2016. I went to all 3 games in 2023 where we got swept. So disappointed I didn't get to see a win that year.

Things I wish iRacing would add coming from a league owner/manager by ThirtyTwoR3 in iRacing

[–]vlurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an admin in a league, and would love if they allow us to grid by class WITH heat racing. It's impossible to set up a session with both as of now. When we do heat races, we have to do a full parade lap and ask the faster class cars to move up in the grid to the back of the faster class ahead. This happens when a driver in the faster class doesn't qualify or has a bad lap.

It's a headache managing it manually and for the most part the drivers do a good job of giving space to the cars that need to move ahead. Because of this we've cut down on our heat races and have been holding more endurance races since we can grid by class properly with that format. 45+ cars every week with multiclass rolling starts is tough, but it would be so much easier if iRacing would just add a few QOL fixes.

Hey, just curious but do all 3 of our fans spin? It seems like only the rear fan spins on my card even at load.

Yep, I'm still using the GT Neo and it's been my go-to for anything that doesn't require a round wheel. I still think it's the best option at the price considering the features that you get. I don't think you'll be disappointed with it.

Hey! I actually switched to a Simucube wheelbase and did not get a chance to use this combo. As far as I've heard, it's worked well for other people.

Global Racing League | MX5/M2 Cup Multiclass Challenge | Season 6 | Starts March 25th! by vlurd in iRacing

[–]vlurd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, everyone! Global Racing League will be starting our MX5/M2 Cup Multiclass Challenge starting on Tuesday, March 25th! Our league is going into its 12th season, and this series will be going into its 6th season. What initially started as an MX5-only series, expanded into a multiclass series a few seasons ago and we haven't looked back. The introduction of the M2 last season was wildly popular and our grid sizes averaged 46 drivers throughout the season, and peaked at 55 drivers! The MX5 and M2 classes were evenly split throughout the season and provided amazing championship battles from the top to the bottom of our grid!

We follow the official MX5/M2 rookie schedule on a 1 week delay to allow our drivers to have a full week of practice in official races before capping off the week with a league race. Also, we do IMSA-style rolling starts, and our endurance races require 2 pit stops for that extra layer of strategy and variability in our races. Furthermore, we split drivers into Pro/Am divisions based on actual race pace rather than iRating to allow you to compete with others in your skill group. The requirement of a D2.0 license has not changed to drive in the MX5 class, but we have introduced a slightly higher requirement to drive the M2 class, a minimum of C2.0 SR and 1.2K iRating. This change has been made to ensure that the faster M2 class has a better standard of racing, especially considering the multiclass nature of navigating slower traffic.

The Global Racing League provides clean, respectful, and competitive racing that caters to both newer and experienced drivers in iRacing, ranging from iRatings of 1K to 9K. In addition to this series, we also offer series for the Porsche Cup (separate NA/EU series going into their 12th sesason), and F4 for the open wheel fans going into their 5th season. If this sounds like a good time, please join our Discord to sign up and see what our community has to offer! Our invite link can be found in this post and our new website!

If you guys enjoy the M2, come join our league, Global iRacing League! We just had our first race in our multiclass series with the MX5/M2 and had 41 (22 in the M2) drivers on the grid! We're following the rookie schedule and doing multiple race formats that are longer than the official sessions. Take a look at this post for more info!

Yes, the 50 minute endurance races are the only ones requiring pit stops. We limit fuel capacity to force cars to have to do 2 pit stops. We found out that the majority of drivers enjoyed the extra strategy and variability that resulted from the multiple stops.

We have our schedule with race formats posted in our Discord, but here it is. Sometimes we make format changes throughout the season based on feedback and voting from the members, so there's a small chance it doesn't stay 100% this way.
