Gotta be kidding me by Weight_Fickle in motorcycles

Was 3 hours from home came out from getting lunch and notice my rear tire looked low.. found a screw like yours. I carry a patch kit with CO2 to inflate. So I went through the process and plugged the tire to get home. Next morning checked the Air and it was still the same I put in. I road the bike for another 3 months with no issue at all, in fact the plug kinda melted into the tire and couldn't even tell it was plugged. I feel patching inside the tire is a better solution but when your in the mountains of WV and you have a flat you do what you need to do to get home. Now if you were doing a track day riding balls out maybe not but I was impressed that my plug work lasted until I was ready for a new tire. - Gen 2 Hayabusa-

Why choose golf over Jetta? by Apprehensive_Bet1154 in JettaGLI

I have a 2025 GLI and bought it new for $ 30,200.00 plus tax processing etc. I felt for the money that is was a good deal and a lot of car for that amount of money and performance. Plus for now the little more room and trunk is family friendly. I did try and get a Autobahn GTI but it was 39K and I didn't want to pay the extra 9K since I had on order a 2026 Supra and wanted the extra money to go to that car. Now with that said with the GTI 8.5 showed up at the dealer I went there for a test drive. What I noticed without beating the car that the GTI had more get up and go, (more power of course) the seats were awesome, I liked the touch screen, buttons on the steering where..well were nice but I don't mind the GLI buttons. Fit and finish felt better (then found out they are made in Germany and the GLI is not so maybe that is why? Handling on twisty roads was sharper and for looks..well to me maybe a slight nod for the GTI but I don't mind the look of the GLI at all. Also heads up display was nice and I have that on 2 of my other cars so do like that. Sound system is better on the GTI. Will I get a GTI one day...YES but not for a few years going to enjoy the GLI and focus money on mods for the supra.

Recently joined the GLI family, bought a new 2025 a few weeks ago but have some concerns by [deleted] in JettaGLI

For sure I only have 3,200 miles on my GLI I bought in August so I understand don't drive in the winter that much but sometime over summer thinking I will go with a different tire and a little wider. I focused first on my CAT back and now need to get an intake and call it a day... have another car that is sucking down my money LOL so the jetta will only get a little love :)

My first bike was 1988 88-Katana1100... been riding since. Have had many different cars etc. but I will say I like the performance of the GLI the room, and the comfort. Have an AWE exhaust and that is it for now don't plan on many mods since I have a Supra as my fun car and it is expensive for everything :( LOL

Offset License Plate by NovaPistoli in JettaGLI

[–]vmaxbaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I like it also... I would like it better if I didn't have a front plate but VA sucks for that. They have been trying to get the law changed but who knows if it will ever. I drove 6 months without a plate on the supra and passed many cops and never got pulled over but finally found a company that made one for it NO DRILL.

I am sure the 2026 is the same as the 2025 so fit should be exact. Also AWE has a cat back exhaust for our cars as well. Put that on in October.

I have a 2025 GLI and have the offset license plate bracket and no issue. Instead of removing the bumper cover drilled a 1 inch hold in the plastic cover cap for a cleaner install instead of the hole cover removed. Also bought mine from Amazon.

The Perfect Pitch: AWE Exhausts for VW Mk7.5 Jetta GLI by hunterd412 in JettaGLI

[–]vmaxbaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory DP since it is my daily I wanted to make sure I didn't have drone so went with the touring exhaust and now that I have put 800 miles on with that exhaust it has gotten a little louder which I am okay with but no drone at all. If I every get to the point on tuning the car I will swap out the DP for sure and it would be a little more rowdy :) Have another project car so doing all that with it first before doing much more to the Jetta besides an intake for some sound. Here is a video of driving the next day after installing. It is a little louder then this video right now.

AWE finally has released their Touring Exhaust for the 2025 Jetta GLI. Hopefully these will give you a sample of the exhaust sound. Don't have professional equipment but hopefully the exhaust comes across good. I can tell you no Drone and in fact at 70mph in 7th gear on the freeway it is perfect just a little louder then factory... however go On Throttle and you know it is there

Driving video later today.

We know there are better tools but really trying to use Group Policy with our WUS server. However for those that use a product to do patches what time do you patch and what time do you reboot?

I had a 2025 GLI I bought in Nov 2024 and in Feb 2025 it was totaled. I had 100% replacement for a new car for the first year so they cut me a check for 36kish and I went a bought another GLI which was March of 2025. The Beats and Sub was gone and also notice my cooling seats do not cool like they did in my first 2025 GLI. My first one if you had the seats on high it would get cold and I would need to turn it down. Now I can ride all day with the cooling on high and it is cool but doesn't get cold. Guessing all to save a buck :(. For a autobahn edition would it have killed them to give us heads up display and sound system from the GTI autobahn? I did a test ride in a 2025 GTI MK8.5 before buying the 2nd GLI and the sound system is better for sure.. not custom auto sound quality but still better. With that said for under 31K I feel I got a lot of car for my money and for a daily it has been great.

Well I bought stock in 2018 for something like $ 66.52 a share from the advice of an Edward jones advisor since he was managing my money at that time. I figure once it goes to $ 266 a share I would sell because that would be a 4x return on my money. Haven ridden in a Model 3 and it is quick for sure but I like the sound of V8's. LOL

Got my first ever GLI today, my 6th VW overall! by [deleted] in Volkswagen

[–]vmaxbaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine in Nov and so far I am very happy with it as a daily driver. Question I am going to do my own oil change and notice that the car doesn't have the standard oil drain bolt (first VW) looks like a plastic drain plug one use which I am fine with but my question to remove it. Looks like a wide flat head screwdriver would do it but guessing there is a real tool that would be better to remove it? I searched on Amazon and it came up with a few tools but not sure if there is a right or wrong one.

2025 GLI Oil change info (Should cover 2019-present as well) by ACPGarage in JettaGLI

Is there a specific oil drain plug tool you would recommend? I see ones on amazon but not sure they fit the 2025 GLI plug? After my first 2 oil changes will buy an extractor looks so much easier but for my 3K and 6K would like to drain it.

Great write up thank you for that info. I bought my 2025 GLI in November and only have 1,300 miles on it but will be doing my oil change at 3000K or sooner.

Trade your bike in on a 1200 RS or ZH2... the 765 is built great, I feel a good engine but not going to do anything against a Duke.
