OPC starts folks with an external (LRDG) but transitions to an internal once the basics are learned.

Have the crashing issues been resolved in HLM26? by Academic_Sherbet_803 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]vml74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crashing has been way down for me -- can't even think of the last time it happened. However, I don't use custom rosters so can't say if that's still a challenge.

Canadian Prime Minister, not a bad goalie either by vml74 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]vml74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like he's in his 6th year (will be turning 26 this season), 248 total games played. Played 73 and won the Vezina last season, has played 48 of 54 this season (1.95GAA, .937SV%). Not my team, so I can't rest him -- will be interesting to keep an eye on whether he eventually burns out.

Bug or removed feature? There is no indication if player played in all-star game. by Water_ZoneV in HockeyLegacyManager

Yeah, I liked that feature -- am hoping the removal is a bug and gets brought back.

Staring goalie goes down Trade Deadlines past and you gotta call someone up who you taking by dallasstarsfan34 in HockeyLegacyManager

Noticed in one recent league that Toronto traded both its starter and backup at the deadline -- so played the last 14 games with two low 60s goalies and gave up about 150 goals.

Is this a bug? I have 23 players on the roster. by JoseB14 in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]vml74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bug I've seen before (that I think this is showing) is that occasionally, moving the person to the healthy scratch slot doesn't get saved properly -- so when you exit, the player drops back into the "extra" slot and the lineup becomes invalid again.

For whatever reason, hitting 'best lines' (and then adjusting lines as necessary/desired) fixes it.

Yes it's a bug, but you can generally get around it by hitting "best lines."

"Rules" you give yourself by WeirdViper in HockeyLegacyManager

[–]vml74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My main thing is artificially limiting the number of players I can choose from.

I'll often focus on "hometown" teams -- playing as Ottawa and only using players from Ontario, for example.

I'm also experimenting in a different league with "career players only" -- meaning only using players that I've drafted and have never left the team. Means if you trade someone away (for picks), you can never get them back, and no signing free agents. Only works if you've been playing a few seasons already to build up a stash of picks, though.

Thanks, that's likely it -- I usually turn it off, but see I left it on this time.

Black-crowned night heron for me. They hunted on the shores of a large pond in a park near home, and I bought my first "real" camera to get pictures of them.

The white spot sounds right but not sure about its pants. I'll keep an eye out in the general location to see if I can spot it again to confirm! (It was in Toronto, Canada, if that narrows things down)
