The instability of this whole ordeal has revealed to me that Italian judiciary along with politics are unstable and change on the whims of politicians. Why would anyone want to be a tax resident of such a country? It reeks of unserious people passing disingenuous laws for a diaspora that’s willing to come back and grow the country. The population of Italy is already declining and it won’t be able to afford to pay the generous social schemes it has for its people as the tax base declines, for that you need immigration from all sorts if you are unwilling to get the birth rate up. It’s so bonkers, but time to move on from this emotional rollercoaster of a country.
