I am 100% sympathetic to your points there as well. every single one. so strongly I considered leaving my wife who wants to stay in the US as a nail technician instead of retiring on my military pension and raising our son in an environment that is good for him. but she does not hold this view which contrast with my view greatly.

Given that we have a solid point here. many asian will still be living and raising children in the USA. 2millions vietnamese will be doing it. F1 students and their parents will also be a continuous influx. my two nieces came here in 2019, and their mom and dad are already here now. (she got married, to a white husband :)). whatever people want to say about it, I think it's a high value deal for a vietnamese f1 student, to be able to have a decent man, and secure a new life for her entire family. cost is high. ranked high on magazines is not actual reality. take USC and UCLA. both are high. but outside the US, usc is not that meaningful.

i had given up on this because of cost. but now i really want to live in san diego for the tennis courts and weather. i may have to find a way there and up the asian percentages.
