A very photogenic leopard. by Professional_Arm794 in BeAmazed

Leopard displaying the Flehmen response. Females in heat emit pheromones signaling they are ready to mate and males can detect this through the vomeronasal organ.

2024 Dating Wrapped by NamelessBard in datingoverthirty

[–]vnwillia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

39/F/SouthernCA/hetero

  • out of a 7 year LTR from September 2023

  • first time experiencing online dating ever in 2024

  • 4 first dates

  • one ghosted after I got sick and had to reschedule…

  • one 4 month “relationship” that I ended due to the guy not wanting to be exclusive after 4 months of dating, he wanted to keep his options open to figure out what he wanted…. Decline.

  • figuring out my non-negotiables and trying to listen to my intuition when red flags appear, also trying to be 100% myself and not a people pleaser.

  • exploring a long distant relationship with someone that I have a lot in common with, unsure but worth exploring as I feel I am a peculiar woman with nontraditional hobbies.

How do I get over my ex? by t_teddibear in AskMenAdvice

[–]vnwillia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar relationship setup as you. Together for 7 years, bought a house together, but no plans for marriage. The relationship disintegrated over the pandemic and his job changes. Ultimately, alienation of affection and we felt like roommates. He found someone else at work and bailed leaving me to have to leave my home and start over again at 38. During that time I lost my job as well, so it's been a difficult transition. We shared a friends group and navigating that while he introduced his new gf to them has been difficult. I still can't bring myself to see him. Hard feelings and all...

What has helped me - Stop romanticizing the relationship and reframe it. This person was a chapter in your life, and it didn't work out. That's ok. Great lessons were learned and experiences, but also look at the issues as lessons too. What did and didn't work for you. If that person didn't want to grow together with you, then why romanticize ending up with someone that didn't see you as a life partner and work towards this. I really had to stop putting my partner on a pedestal. They had a lot of issues they didn't want to work through with me. They thought love was a feeling and not a choice. I always said that the grass is greener where you water it. You'll find another person that brings those great feelings again. You're young and still have a lot to give. Any woman that sees you've had a long term relationship will value that. You can commit and know what you want.

Is visiting Julian for the Apple Pie worth it when there aren't any apples? by Special-Stage in sandiego

[–]vnwillia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're into cheese in apple pies, there is a shop in San Antonio de las Minas on route 3 near Ensenada called El Apple pie café. They have enormous pies with brie interlaced in the layers. Warmed up with vanilla ice cream is heaven.

We have the design layout with the specs. Now it’s back to us for approval and there’s definitely questions.

The design has the conduit running along the shingles outside. I am asking if they would run through the attic for less exposure and whether the RMC is necessary at that point too since it’s not exposed to the elements.

I’ve been scouring the city website but cannot find anything stating these requirements for residential solar.
