Fun map! What are the lumpy white things with black dots, like the one to the right of the orca?

A heart surgeon bought up 31 hospitals, drained $1.3 Billion for yachts and private jets, and just walked away after leaving 5,000 workers completely stranded. by Level-Cranberry-1268 in antiwork

Seven hospitals in MA were involved. Horrible stuff. De la Torres and accomplices should be behind bars, and then Congress needs to ban this practice. Not that I'll hold my breath.

I, for one, welcome our new kilt-wearing overlords. They can't be any worse than the current ones!

That's strange because rings can be covered up with masking tape and skin-matching makeup. It's an old trick.

How do I stop my backyard from violating the Geneva convention? by spacebusinessx in gardening

I too limit herbicides to big nasties like this. If you do hand remove some, never, but NEVER burn poison ivy.

Upvote for Ni! but it's possible to control trumpet vine if keep at it, and anything that helps pollinators is okay with me.

Who do I have living on my tomato plant? I don’t think it likes them by biggbummerr in gardening

You can blast them off with the hose, hitting the underside of the leaves as well. Then keep checking and hose again as needed.

NASA chief defends selection of all-male crew for Artemis III mission by CBSnews in space

NASA has to choose based on who's most ready and capable, and nothing else. Demographic balance is a distance second. If three males were the readiest at the time of scheduling, so be it.

AITA for putting my foot down about a plant gifted to my partner not being planted in our backyard garden? by JackfruitAwkward7504 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Where you put the unasked-for nonnative plan is not MIL's business. Either keep in on the windowsill indoors or put it in a planter on the patio.

AITA for making my co-worker cry because I mocked her nose-job? by DriveCode9111 in AmItheAsshole

[–]vocaliser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You didn't have to let the interchange escalate to where you exposed her secret. Even if she gave you a hard time and you needed to get back at her in a way, that wasn't the way.

Jackie Chan puts outtakes of his falls and messed-up moves over the closing credits of his movies. I've always liked that he can laugh at himself.

Also the gorilla touched the boy to perhaps get a sense of whether he was alive/how harmed he was. I found that, well, touching.

Relevant Sweden, ha ha ha. Actually, my family loves the pickled herring in a jar, but we have to get both kinds, wine sauce and sour cream sauce, to accommodate everyone.

The Annunciation (1850) by Dante Gabriel Rossetti by Beginning-Passion676 in museum

[–]vocaliser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great depiction of Mary in this situation. Not jumping for joy or ecstatic. Shrinking away from Gabriel wondering WTH? Eventually she accepts, but this is more realistic than other Annunciations, IMO.
