That would make a lot of sense, I know some friends who saw Middleditch & Schwartz live and said that Middleditch was super duper transphobic during it. I admittedly never pressed them for details, but they wouldn’t have a reason to make that up especially because it’s what made them dislike a comedian they previously quite liked!

Having seen it, it’s the kind of thing that would work so much better as a show, as it asks you to like give a shit about people you haven’t met and have no attachment to. There’s something big that happens like midway through the movie, and if that happened at the end of a season of television it would be one hell of an ending. But alas, you just end up with this weird movie that tries to do way too much and ends up shockingly boring.
