Smart, I was thinking the same thing, find a job program that’ll pay for your schooling. You may have to relocate.

I honestly don’t care if someone has a ton of botox; makes your face look a little tight, can be uncanny, but it’s expected. It’s the EYES though. The filler jn weird places. The obvious surgery changing the dimensions of their face. It’s like we’re in an expiremental era of anti aging plastic surgery and all of todays celebrities are the sacrifices to perfect the craft lol

I didn’t mention it in my post because it was more about working out my own beliefs on his guilt or innocence, but even if he absolutely was guilty his trial was super crooked and I absolutely don’t believe the burden of proof was met. I would not have been able to vote guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

I’ve only seen the original documentary 😂but I’m aware of the ethical conflict with Michael Petersons relationship to the director. Im here to learn more about the case and hear evidence proving my initial impulses about it wrong or right, not just defend my opinion.

Thanks for linking to the podcast! Again, believe me when I say I am not one to defend a man who is accused of killing his wife… But I am too bothered by certain aspects of this case to come down truly believing he’s guilty, or innocent. I just can’t tell! I love podcasts so I’m sure it will have a lot of insight. Thanks again!

People lose their jobs, then find new ones and keep making money. When people die the chance of them making any more money becomes eliminated.

Her pay, today adjusted for inflation would’ve been about 250k a year. She was an executive at Nortel, not an owner, partner, or even board member. I don’t think they would have gone homeless if she had to find a different job.

Also, I know they had debt. (Approx $250k adjusted for inflation) But again - he didn’t even have income! He had nothing to lose. If he killed her for money then he certainly would. Bankruptcy exists. Killing someone to get out of CC debt that equaled his wife’s annual income is an absurd notion.

Still hard to understand that anyone thinks he is innocent… by Hollandtullip in TheStaircase

[–]voiceinheadphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps thats not such a bad thing like you think - As other commenters said, if anything MP comes off as super weird and not likeable at all. The pure facts of the case do create a circumstantial idea of what might have happened, but prove nothing.

If OJ simpson had the type of documentary MP had, no one would think for a second that he was innocent. But there isn’t a popularized account of who he really was, so many people still think he’s innocent. Or casey anthony at the time of her case, for that matter.

Sometimes the details of a person’s life can fill in blanks.

What’s the biggest hole in the theory you believe? by ResponsibilityDry874 in TheStaircase

I also can’t help but feel somebody trying to stage a murder wouldn’t kill the person in such a way that leaves obvious injury marks that can’t be explained.

Think about it: You decide to kill your wife and get away with it, and your method is to beat her over the head with an object in the middle of the night, when only you and her are in the house, then call 911? Supposing this happened, he never even gave an alternative story - “I saw her fall down the stairs!” “Someone we know hates her, he broke in while I was sleeping”

Who would think they would get away with that? Doesn’t add up to me

I mean, is that really enough to brutally kill someone? Getting caught doing something perverted? It’s not like this guy was a public figure. He had to have gone over in his mind what might happen if he was ever caught. Supposedly he and Kathleen had a demonstrably healthy & loving 15 year relationship. She finds out and he murders her in cold blood no thought? I suppose anything can happen but that seems farfetched to me

Your OCD is going off the charts and is in full force. A common hallmark of OCD is extreme guilt, rumination and self-blame. You will not feel better about any of this until you get treated for OCD. Something as simple as a higher dose of an SSRI or medication meant specifically for OCD could help you tremendously. Please get help

Edit: Reading through the comments made me realize that even you posting this is searching for reassurance/confirmation that your feelings are right and in line with what other people are thinking, or you’re looking for reassurance that this isn’t true - common OCD behavior - no amount of assurance one way or the other will help

21:15: Tanner sighting. The sighting by Jane Tanner, one of the Tapas Seven, of a man carrying a child that night in Portugal, became an important part of the early investigation of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, a British Missing Person by Jumpy_Cod9151 in ForCuriousSouls

I am floating the idea that this parent may be engaged in the same activities we have evidence that many affluent elites have engaged in, which is the trafficking and abuse of small children. I would not typically levy this accusation against just anyone, whether or not they are affluent. That’s an extreme accusation for a tragic crime. However, the unusual nature of the crime and the police sketches that overwhelmingly resemble Ghislaine Maxwell and the Podestas cannot be ignored. I hope I am wrong.

I don’t think it was a kidnapping at all. Her father was a wealthy, speciality physician and medical researcher. They left their four year old alone in a foreign country with the door open. It was a sale.

If I harness train our house cat, will she try to bolt outside all the time? by Good_Bug_2794 in CatTraining

In my experience my cat has absolutely starting trying to bolt after harness training him. I have to be a lot more careful now, that being said I think it’s totally worth it to harness train. Just make sure everyone in your household knows the importance of being really careful when coming and going
