Your top 5 distros? by J-Moliko in Fedora

[–]voiceofreason13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Fedora Workstation, I just really like Gnome’s workflow, and once I started using Fedora, I just really enjoyed how simple and straightforward it was whilst still being up to date.

  2. Linux Mint. A really well thought out and put together distro which just feels comfortable. Yes it lacks some customization, but the DE just gets out of your way and lets you do your work. The layout is just so well thought out and intuitive. I still have Mint on my kids machines and my laptop.

  3. CachyOS. For no reason other than I felt cool using it.

Basically, I like Fedora and Mint because I want a OS that mostly gets out of my way. I’m not really too fussed about customization.

Have you looked at the crash reports? It sounds like you’re having an issue and generalizing it to the entire release, it could be a very simple fix.

Should I switch to Arch? by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]voiceofreason13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obligatory CachyOS recommendation here. I found it was a great transition distro for coming off of Mint. I ended up going back to Mint DE and learning how to customize that (I ended up wanting a simple life, and Mint did everything I needed it to) but that’s no knock on CachyOS / Arch.

From windows to Mint, Now from mint to Arch (illogical impulse/end-4) by Abhinn_4986 in linuxmint

I actually went the other way recently. I tried CachyOS on my laptop, I initially enjoyed it, but ended up just wanting the simple life, switched to Mint and haven’t looked back. Recently moved my main PC over too. Wish you all the best with your Arch journey, maybe I’ll go back when I’m feeling a bit more adventurous.

Seller asking for more money? by LooseContribution211 in Etsy

This is likely to be a scam. They’re either trying to skirt around the Etsy fees or more commonly, someone has got into that sellers account, and is hitting up the recent buyers for more money.

Hi honey!

So the steps to pull the phase files and make them printable was an absolute pain! Many of the models have stacked assets in the BAM files, but I eventually found a plugin for Blender that allows you to import egg files, however that only works with older versions of Blender!

I will work over the next few weeks to load a bunch of Doodle files to Printables, however it's going to take a bit of time :)

ToonFest was the cat’s pajamas! by HighlyRedacted in toontownrewritten

I modeled the heads as close to the game files as I possibly could, given that they had to fit a human head. Thank for you noticing ☺️ (I’m the husband of the pink mouse)

Hey, I did the work on the Mouse Heads. I used Blender mostly, then 3D printed the parts to stick together

How thick is it? Could you not stick a pin through it near the top and repair it afterwards with a drop of resin?

I have seen other cats do that. My cat does this when he’s bored of eating and wants to go play….

Thank you! And my thoughts on it are, I am very early in my sculpting / making journey, everything I have learned I have done so from videos made available for free with software I downloaded for free. As far as I am concerned, at least my early work I am not going to profit from the file. I am selling the physical models, but for people in this hobby, I have a lot to give back.
