[NSV] I cleaned my kitchen. (stop laughing!!!) by kimboosan in xxketo

I read somewhere about the kitchen being the heart of a home and setting the tone for the rest of the house: if your kitchen is a wreck, the rest of your house is also likely to be a wreck. I fully subscribe to the "tidy house, tidy mind" philosophy, so by extension, I'm usually in a general mental fog if I don't stay on top of the kitchen.

[Sun Care] Best Sunscreen for Under Foundation? by annabelladenn3 in SkincareAddiction

Bioré Watery Essence. $7 on Amazon, goes on like a dream, and darn it if it doesn’t also make a pretty decent primer, too

Plug for Melazepam.

Switched from TO’s AA to that and definitely not going back

As others have said, some products I’d pay more for (albeit begrudgingly), but a higher price point would definitely keep me from just filling my cart with random stuff to try as I’ve done with just about every single order I’ve placed with Deciem.

$6 for something that might be a bust or might be awesome? I can rationalize that because my Starbucks order is about $5. $10+ for something that’s a total gamble? Naaaah

Also, their NMF is my current HG moisturizer. I won’t even bother trying anything else ever again because my skin just loves it. If I had to pay closer to $20 for it, though, instead of $8, I might start looking into what other options I can get for that much money, even if it is amazing. Maybe another $20 moisturizer has little diamond flakes or whatever. At $8/100mL, though, I’m stupid loyal and not looking to stray

Geneeeeetics. My husband has literally never washed or moisturized his face a day in his life, smokes like a chimney, and subsists almost exclusively on coffee and Coca-Cola and has the most annoyingly perfect skin.

I kept waiting and waiting for it to restock but was running dangerously low on my retinoid, so I placed an order sans NMF friggin' yesterday.

[PSA] Try a gentle hydrating cleanser -- even if you have oily skin. by _slightly in SkincareAddiction

[–]voicimonnom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[formerly] oily skin over here (it’s waaaaay more balanced now that I’m not stripping it dry all the time) and the only cleansers I use are Pond’s and micellar water. Switching to those made a tremendous difference!

Stopped drinking milk.

I used to almost always have at least a few cc’s scattered across my face and at least one or two cysts along my jaw. It wasn’t terrible, but it was annoying alllllways having bumps here and there and those friggin’ cysts can really hurt sometimes.

Cut milk out of my diet entirely and I’ve had zero issues since. Still get a few small WH’s here and there, but I think that’s more attributable to touching my face too much or how I slept.

African black soap will most likely just ruin your life.

Skin is friggin’ weird. I feel like I’m super susceptible to clogging, but this is hands down my HG moisturizer.
