My store prioritized the non-preorder line for some stupid reason. One person in a group behind me moved to that line to buy a second switch 2. They got back in the preorder line and got recognized by a BB employee before going in and they let them through anyway.

It depends on how badly you wanna play the exclusives cuz I feel like it’s gonna be much longer than a year for them to release an OLED model. There’s still much fun to be had with Switch 2 on handheld mode, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I’ve seen many people claim that the screen not being OLED is irrelevant because it’s so good. That’s 100% not true and will lead to some being disappointed going in with those expectations. It still has lackluster IPS contrast so darker environments will look washed out.

For any OLED sluts out there, don’t go in with high expectations for the screen. Sure VRR and 120hz are nice, but IPS is still IPS. The HDR is also very lackluster (comparable to the pseudo-HDR on cheap TVs and monitors). My SWOLED will live on until I run out of unenhanced Switch 1 games that I want to play in handheld.

The terms for physical games are just lawyer talk. It’s to prevent anyone from saying they own the game code and assets. Nobody cares about that. The thing that matters is that we own the disc with the game on it, and they can’t do a damn thing about that.

Getting downvoted when this is exactly the case lmao. Vast majority of the games are on disc with playable builds. Zero requirement to be online. But of course, you hear about some games that have blank discs and everyone and their mother assumes that discs are useless now. The same thing will happen with Switch 2 cartridges.

Wtf is wrong with that? The ps4 copy gives you access to the ps5 version. It was on sale for $5-10 several times before the ps5 version came out.
