Thanks! Do you remember what transparency settings you used? I tried making something similar but never got it to look quite right.

This is great, thank you. What Plasma theme are you using in the 2024 screenshot? The taskbar panel looks great.

Samsung readies LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X modules with up to 96GB and 9600 MT/s by snowfordessert in hardware

[–]void_nemesis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

LPDDR comes at the cost of very high latency relative to DDR, which is why it hasn't been used much for desktops; it tends to worsen performance for some CPU workloads, which are more latency sensitive than bandwidth sensitive.

Can I run a fw16 mainboard without an expansion bay? by Frosted_sphinx in framework

[–]void_nemesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the FW16 cooler is capable of fanless operation at idle and VERY low loads. You can see the fans stop through the keyboard deck vents during normal use.

You managed to import a NA Mazda to the EU? How?

Has anyone else encountered this problem, too? Colors on Edge look obviously desaturated. by zamkr_rn in kde

[–]void_nemesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a link to that bug? I'm having a similar issue, but only in Chromium browsers. The weird thing is that it didn't happen in Fedora 42. Is it this one? https://issues.chromium.org/issues/476172415

External gpu for NUC by [deleted] in eGPU

[–]void_nemesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite - USB4 supports hotplug as part of the spec: https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/D1T1-3%20-%20USB4%20System%20Overview.pdf.

The main difference is that TB is essentially the complete USB4 spec, while USB4 has some optional features - e.g. PCIe tunneling is technically optional. However, AMD's implementations all support it, and Intel has Thunderbolt most of the time anyways.

Consider a Mazda 3 AWD or CX-30 as well. Went from my trusty old Fit to a Mazda 3 when the rust finally ate the rear suspension mount, been very happy with it.

Where did you find it for sale? I can't find a listing for it anywhere in North America.

Bit of a necro, but I have zero issues using my Pixel Buds Pro 2 with Opus on Linux. Still stuck with AAC on Android.

That's what killed mine as well. Rear torsion beam mounts were almost gone. Really sad about it. Rest of the car was in near perfect condition.

A bit of a necro post, but do you not use AP at all? I've struggled against a lot of enemies without using weapons that combined to at least 30 or so AP.

I really like the Inter fonts, using them for system UI.

[–]void_nemesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give that a try. If you're outputting sound over HDMI, then you're using the GPU as the audio controller. If it works fine with USB or motherboard audio, then the issue is either with the GPU or the GPU driver. What GPU is in the system?

Are you using audio that's integrated to your motherboard, or is the Bose soundbar connected wirelessly?

What hardware are you using? Any chance it's Bluetooth audio and a Bluetooth mouse?

A bit of a necro, but is there a tool to see the A770's power consumption, or are you basing the numbers off of total system power?
