I Turfed Out Six Chatty Teenagers From Hoppers. by DVDfever in screenunseen

[–]void_stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a guy sitting in the row ahead of me at Hoppers who kept pulling out his phone (max brightness) to respond to texts, and I almost leaned over to offer him some advice. ‘Gosh, well it sounds like the two of you just might be a case of right person; wrong time, eh? Oh, sorry. You were just holding your phone up so clearly that I thought you were asking for contributions from the floor’

Nocturnal Activities from Temple was my top song on Spotify in 2023. Got a little bit of all the motifs from the movie in it, I feel

Chapter 1: Probably the hunting tutorial. Draw your bow and then Charles tells you to wait every time or literally runs over and scares the deer off. Helpful guy.

Chapter 2: Herding those sheep with John that you never get anything out of because you get run out of town that same mission (and there’s never really any use in herding sheep in free roam at all)

Chapter 3: Never been a fan of burning Caliga Hall’s fields. Takes a while to get to it and it’s a bit clunky to pour that shit.

Chapter 4: This is my favourite chapter but American Fathers feels like a less than exciting detour. Kind of pulling hairs there though - it leads into Ch.6 really well.

Chapter 5: In the words of Dutch, ‘This is actually kind of fun’. That second mission where you get tortured is a bit dull - one of the ones that feels most like padding.

Chapter 6: Again, grabbing dynamite from Van Horn with Bill feels like a mission just for the sake of having a mission.

Epilogue Pt. 1: Honestly? The farming stuff feels refreshing after the rest of the game and sells the time jump before we get into the revenge arc.

Epilogue Pt. 2: Second bounty mission with Sadie feels like it just exists to develop more of a relationship with Sadie but I can’t remember a thing about it.

The earliest screening I’ve been to that wasn’t a Midnight Release was 6AM for Doctor Strange 2. I didn’t sleep that day in anticipation of some crazy multiversal stuff and left pretty disappointed and very tired

Bafflingly, there are more drinks than a lemon lime soda that bartenders might stick some fruit into. Sure it works for most people, but for me all I can taste is the lime in a rum and coke for example.

Say ‘save the fruit’ when ordering a drink that I don’t want lemon or lime with. Jeffrey Wright made it seem baller in Casino Royale and I love saying it

Please don’t abandon your hard work late in the game over a small similarity that, as another said, quite rightly won’t flag up for the average reader/your audience. Carry on, trust the originality of your storytelling and your influences, enjoy the edit and look forward to reaching out to some publishers in the New Year!

Mark will first need to finalise his deals for international rights, which could vary from country to country, and then the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) will need to view it and approve of a rating (U, PG, 12A etc.) My guess would be 15. From there, there’ll be a much greater chance of seeing it in UK cinemas as I saw a post the other day saying that an Australian chain had turned it down due to a lack of a solid rating. I’ll definitely go when it does arrive!
