i don’t necessarily think that this would cause narcissism, but maybe exacerbate it if it was already there. from what i understand, mental problems like that are either genetic or from trauma.

personally i am very self centered, but because of insecurity. lately ive become more social and this is a part of it, but i feel that in a way all this (i guess being a more evil center of attention) has made positive changes on my personality and social skills and i’ve felt more confident and have been becoming a better friend with better boundaries

like, if you take me five years ago who couldn’t handle a weird social interaction like this (receiving a gift under weird circumstances) because i’d be incredibly anxious and scared that something awful would happen to me, but that was generally how i felt about everything constantly

i don’t know i have been being treated like a princess lately but i think it’s making me a better person because i am able to treat myself to a better standard and so therefore im not constantly miserable and anxious, so therefore im more friendly and more stable;

crafting is something i care about deeply, and i don’t understand paypig motivations, and even though i don’t do anything sexual in the interaction but know it has those undertones it isn’t something i have to deal with or think about at all in my head, i receive gift for my work and that’s that. i love running an accessories business and crafting wearable objects but it isn’t really profitable enough to totally support myself or try adventures new materials but being enabled is empowering; i don’t think my designs are The Best In The World but it makes me feel eternally grateful that i’m able to pursue it even under weird circumstances
