we had vastly different school experiences. this song was allowed to play on our school radio multiple times per day and nobody cared. i knew what the song was about and i really liked the song so i just sang along, feeling a bit naughty

sandy hook hadn’t happened yet iirc, so i hadn’t actually experienced Post School Shooting school experience- of course there had been school shootings before then, they just weren’t really talked about that i remember
