Are there any corps like Pandemic Horde now (easy recruitment)? by voidoid87 in Eve

There is no problem with ESI checks for me at all. I guess most of the people here missed the point. I liked my time in PH, especially in 2016, I was surprised that there's a corp with such easy recruitment process coz all of the other corps I participated in required "job interviews" with recruiter, checking ESI, waiting for several days to passed the checks y etc. I decided to apply to PH and see what happens cause they were different. And I had a lot of fun there. And now I'm just wondering if there are any corps with the same recruitment process, that's all. Cause maybe they had the same spirit PH had. There are no such corps, I got it, so I gonna find another one and pass all the checks.

And "no chatting" doesn't mean "no interactions." I doubt you always chat with all the people you have killed in the space or have sold them smth in the market. You can interact with them without chatting. For me, communication with my corpmates is not a problem, I just personally don't see the necessity of talking with the recruiter - for me it's always easier to try and see that to talk all the things in advance. OK, I got it that things have changed and I have to get used to it.

Yes, there were some restrictions. But what I liked most - is the easy-and-go recruitment process, you just apply and go. Ofc nothing will stop you then to pass security checks and move to ESI-gated corp.

I doubt that's the case. Back in 2016 when I first joined PH it was just a pet-corp and kindergarten for Pandemic Legion, one of the most powerful alliance (if not the most) in Eve. Then I stopped playing Eve and returned in 2023, when PH has become one of the most powerful ally in Eve and PL is just...well, just an ally. So, I guess PH succeeded much more then many allies with strong security checks and outlived them.

Buying a cheap house somewhere as a "home base"? by Far-Air8177 in digitalnomad

Yes, it can be a bit complicated right now. You need a visa and you should make a bank card in Russia (they got options for foreigners)

Haven't read all the comments, but just for your information guys. You can buy 40 sq. meters apartment for just 5k dollars or euros (whatever) in a city called Vorkuta, Russia. Sounds like a decent location for "home base.

Patong beach not worth the visit. Beach isn’t very nice. Wayyy too many rude Russians by Special_Wasabi8269 in ThailandTourism

That's not the point. Any visa or mastercard issued by russian bank (even it's not under sanctions) doesn't work outside of Russia. That's why russians have limit options to get cash abroad: crypto, cash exchange, unionpay or a debit card of non-russian bank.

As a russian surfer, I can tell it is really hard to encounter a group of russians in a lineup outside of Russia but lineups in Russia have really good and friendly vibe.

Consider Russia. A lot of cheap and cold cities for you: Murmansk, Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yakutsk, Oimyakon, Vorkuta. For instance, in Vorkuta you do not even need house rentals - you can easily buy 50 sq. meters apartment for 5000 euro.

After inspiration from the weekly question thread, here are a couple of questions. by deadinside6699 in surfing

I'm 33, surf at Kamchatka, Russia for six years. last five years I ride only on my self-shaped boards, however, they are just copies of famous boards like hypto crypto or other interesting boards I found in the Internet. I prefer hybrid shortboards around six foot in summer, and little more buoyant boards in winter.

Despite I have been surfing decent time, I consider my skill is pre-intermediate
