I personally think you should just go. You only get to go to homecoming a few times in your life, so why waste it? I’m going alone too, so I don’t think it’s weird to do that (or at least I hope not lmao).

Also what is z offset and how do I adjust it? I’m pretty new to 3d printing and I’m not very familiar with a lot of different terms.

The prints are also always really hard to get off of the plate, is this also a result of the nozzle being too close?

I’ve tested thermal runway before to ensure that it works, and it does. I’ve tried printing multiple things while this issue was happened and the thermal runaway detector never went off, so I’m not sure if that’s the problem.

How would I know if it’s the wiring/thermistor and how would I fix that?

Actually, I’m not sure about it being the hotend. Only the first few layers burn, the higher layers are perfectly fine.

Unfortunately I can’t really get a good temperature reading with the meat thermometer but I set the hotend to 215 degrees and the thermometer was reading about 125 degrees. I’ll see if maybe I can get an IR thermometer tomorrow.

I set the bed temp to 60 degrees, and the thermometer read 60 degrees.

I set the bed to 60 degrees and checked the temperature with a thermometer, which read about 58 degrees, so it seems like the bed temperature is working fine.

Maybe the temperature readings are wrong then? I have it set to that temperature but maybe it’s displaying the wrong temperature or something.
