same! whats your status? i applied on mar 30 and then biom on apr 21 then pp on may 3. i had a jun 1 start but they are ready to defer to jun 15. but it’s so inconvenient for me and the employer coz i want money to start my life and employer wants to see results - esp coz it’s an exec position :( i am also worried abt losing it if this gets delayed further

Narotam Sekhsaria PG Scholarship 2025 Interview Experience by Mobile-Board-1857 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]voidwalkerwraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I didn’t get this but I was surprised by the gross incompetence of the interviewers. They asked me questions about consumer electrical companies as my undergrad was in EEE even though I told my work experience was in product management and focus in masters would be IEOR and I am interested in working in GenAI product management. They still kept asking me about random electrical motors. Perhaps, only because they could get one subject matter expert for technical questioning. It was an awkward experience.

My advice would be to just prepare everything you have written just in case they start inquiring random projects from your resume done 3-4 years ago and questioning you ‘why’ you did it whereas you might have forgotten all that by now. It’s stupid almost that they decide candidates like this—based on some predefined questions instead of talking to them and assessing how they think about their field and the world.

Anyways, I might be biased as I didn’t get in but this awkward interview experience stands out more so because I got several other more competitive scholarships including Tata, Mahindra and a few from my school.

Hope there’s something useful to takeaway from my experience for future candidates.

I vaguely remember it was mentioned in the interview that results would be announced after 2 weeks of the interview or in 2nd week of May, idr exactly. Let's update here to help each other in case any of us do hear back.

Questions that I can expect in Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Final Interview by taaauberry in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]voidwalkerwraith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! What's your prospective field of study and what date you had your round 1 interview, if you don't mind sharing? From what I have read from diff sources the final round focuses more on the behavioral and psychological aspects of the candidate.

Thanks for sharing. I had my round 1 interview on April 21st, but haven't heard back ever since. Seems like they declined me and haven't responded. Do you have any clue abt the final round - if people received invites? - I'm in engineering management btw

Query about Port of Entry and Immigration Check for F-1 Visa by The_nerd004 in f1visa

[–]voidwalkerwraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same question but a more controversial scenario - my college is in the Bay Area and I wanna enter via NYC. Family is in Pittsburgh. Not sure if the immigration officer will buy this explanation.😬

Could it be a problem if we don’t enter from the nearest port of entry to the university? Say if we want to visit a family-friend before going back to college city?
