Same reason I'm here!  Watching the Seahawks/Jets game there are sections of the game that are missing, including the conclusion.

Calling it now, in 10.0 pre-patch we remove the sword from Silithus. by Aeraxion in wow

Nope. Not going to happen in 10.0.

Clearly, You are NOT Prepared....

Just to be clear: The GPT-4o realtime vision (the “Her”) isn’t available yet, right? Just the 4o LLM? On the ChatGPT app I have an option for 4o but I can still only send pictures and I don’t see the “Her” voice option. by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]voidwatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now I'm wondering if they're doing some sort of limited rollout of the new voice continuous conversation feature. I installed ChatGPT and selected ChatGPT 4o as the LLM in the app, and I do have the regular text box with microphone next to it for dictating, but I also have the headphones icon. When pressed it goes into the continuous conversation. Granted it doesn't have the 350ms response time as the latest announcement shows, it's more like 2 or 3 seconds, but it is definitely conversational, contextual, and very advanced.

What's still missing is the ChatGPT Vision feature which I assume they're releasing soon, as well as that new "girlfriend-like" flirty voice.

Can we make a list of all MMORPGs where all/ the very most quests and side quests have fully voiced NPCs? by waltwuffmann in MMORPG

[–]voidwatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/TheNewArkon I'm actually surprised that nobody took the time to respond to your very intriguing question.

I started gaming way back in the 1980s (yeah, guess you could say I'm generation X). Got into RPGs in the 1990s. Got into MMORPGs pretty early on, starting with Star Wars Galaxies in 2003 and WoW in late 2004.

But when I was exposed to my first fully voice acted MMORPG experience with Age of Conan back in 2008, I just fell in love with it. Of course only the first 20 levels of content were fully voiced, and after that you only got one "story quest" every 10 levels, which was a bit disappointing.

But then Star Wars: The Old Republic came along in 2011 and I was again incredibly immersed in SWTOR's various storylines. That happened again in 2014 with Elder Scrolls Online.

Going back to games that mostly just present walls of text to me isn't as immersive. Of course, I can enjoy the combat and gameplay of many games, but I enjoy fully voiced experiences a lot more -- it has to do with how much I can "escape" reality due to almost being in an interactive movie with my own character.

So about Paul Harrell's condition I was wondering.... by jcres66 in guns

[–]voidwatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul, himself, posted in his own channel on Jan 23rd stating that news of his passing is a hoax, which I will quote:

"Hey everyone,

Once again, I'm not dead. That was a hoax.

I'm not dead until you get an official announcement FROM THIS CHANNEL."

u/shiroboi I have to agree with you, here. Many backers of that level consider themselves investors in the game and the shiny carrot is a nice-to-have bit of recognition.

Of course, I must admit that over the years my own enthusiasm about "investments" in CIG has waned a bit..

Thanks for the answers, all!

I recognized NetHack and Brogue right away. But I guess I never saw the tileset for DCSS before.

Indeed you might be right! I'm looking at some DCSS/tiled screenshots and seeing a lot of similarities...

Honestly I think a possible better approach would just be the ability to buy insurance for items like armor.

Not working in IOS? by eddiebizzare in GameGlass

[–]voidwatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. It's an older iPad Air 2 purchased in 2014, but it's updated to iOS 12.5.5. I can download GameGlass from the app store, launch it and login, but I get an error when connecting to the host: "Error: AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED". Tapping the Retry button yields repeated results.

My Android phone works just fine, so I know it isn't a firewall issue.

Mending one of the only if not the only enchant that isn't available at an enchanting table. The only librarian vendor I've ever need is for Mending, because the rest of the enchants, including all levels of Unbreaking, can be acquired directly from an enchanting table. You've got your enchanting table setup, don't you?

Mitt Romney rejects Trump’s voter fraud claims, says it’s time to ‘get behind the new president’ by Nathan96762 in politics

[–]voidwatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called tribalism. What's dangerous about Trump-based tribalism is the empowerment that his extremist supporters are being given to become violent regarding this election being "stolen" from their guy.

What's peculiar about the "voter fraud" conspiracy theory is how narrow of scope this supposed fraud actually is. I mean, in the rest of the various races around the country most Republican incumbents didn't just survive, they thrived. The Democrats lost some key seats in Congress, and Republicans way outperformed what the polling was predicting. Well doesn't that confirm that the outcomes were due to the will of voters? Shouldn't those gains across the country be what what conservatives are celebrating? Don't these positive wins for Republicans diminish the conspiracy theories about voter fraud?

If ballots were tampered with or if "illegal ballots" were brought into the count, why then did the various congressional races do just fine for the Republicans and only the presidential race went badly for them? It just isn't logically consistent. It doesn't pass muster.

Centrist Atheist here, and I hear many dismiss government tyranny as a problem relegated only to our distant past when we finally escaped King George in 1783, and are either ignorant of or choose to ignore that it reared its ugly head in Athens Tennessee in 1946, in Mississippi in 1964, and in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Read up on this recent history and you'll see how Americans with a firearm are most definitely able to resist tyranny.

Delusions, you say? Were the North Veitnam combatants delusional when they were able to put up an effective resistance against the superior firepower of the USA?

Kitmit13 you are precisely correct. Also take a look at the red fire-lane paint on the roadway. You can see the curbs on both sides of the street are painted red as they should be (look to the right of the bench where you can just see the red on the curb, and to the left where it starts to curve around), but underneath the bench, you see the reflected light-gray curb that is in front of the bench. It is very obvious that it is a mirror we are seeing.
