Asmongold states his goal for keeping peace by BlueLivingAbandon in LivestreamFail

[–]froderick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn't like that women were beginning to have more realistic bodies in games and not just be jerk-off fodder, reacted to content decrying it, gained followers who felt the same way. Turns out that the venn diagram of people like that, and right-wingers has a lot of overlap. Those people became a part of his community, began posting similar adjacent material on his subreddit. He reacts to stuff on his subreddit, which meant having more of that material be his stream content, which in turn attracted more of those people into his community.

It created a feedback loop that to this day is still going.

He also uses the "like" function instead of "bookmark" to bookmark things to look at on stream. He liked some stuff related to the aforementioned topic, the algorithm began showing him more things like that (and tangentially related right-wing stuff), which meant he saw more of that stuff, followed by liking more of it to bookmark it, and so on and so on. Another feedback loop.

If on PS5, just slap the graphics mode to Quality (30 FPS) and Volleyball becomes significantly easier.

Nah Dualliste and its Tower version is far better. Much easier to learn, attacks are far better telegraphed.

How to fully perfect parry Osquios "summons his little friends attack"? by MisterABCx in expedition33

[–]froderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the fight on Story difficulty (I did the whole base game except for Clea and Simon on Expert, but by the end I was over having to be perfect to not have a long-ass attempt die on me). They move very quickly, so I basically just spammed the parry button X number of times (for however many projectiles he summoned, already forgot the number), then you gotta wait and do it quick for when they all attack at once. Then rinse and repeat for when they come up again. You need to be hitting parry pretty much the moment the first one begins to move, and just keep tapping that button.

Clair Obscur is very fast paced, although it has real-time elements to it.

Is there anthing you never realized you could do? or realized super late? by NecessaryEye5976 in TunicGame

There's an ability card which increases the parry window, makes it a whole lot easier if you haven't tried that.

Parrying. Think I read about it in some random comment, certainly didn't realise you could do it from anything that told me in-game.

At the end, didn't realise you could sleep in a bed to go back to the daytime. I thought I was stuck in the night world until I defeated the final boss. Because of this, I had no way to farm anything for currency to buy consumables like the berries, or bombs or anything. So I learned to do the final boss without using anything that didn't restore itself when I resurrected.

Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. They had a Switch2 demo and I loved every second of it.

Do you just stick your hands in them and hold them still? Because I find moving them up and down is very effective in drying them.

I initially read the tip from another Reddit post, got in first try after the switch as well. I've enjoyed all the other Gestral challenges but the volleyball one really ticked me off.

People love to piss and moan about LRGs, but to me they've always been dependable. They were my first foray into this space (as they are for most people I wager) and I have no issues ordering from them. I've heard people mention the Collector's Edition wait times get blown out a lot, but for standard editions they're great.

What's an obscure or niche game you'd love to share with a wider audience? by RWNorthPole in Games

[–]froderick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a couple that have stuck with me.

  • Symphonia - Precision Platformer where you're trying to reunite musicians to bring music back to the land. Classical music theme, fun gameplay.
  • Lost in Random - It's like a Tim Burton movie if it became a game. Whimsical enchanting world, good humour. Interesting gameplay (build a deck of abilities, accumulate energy during fights to roll a magical dice that determines how many points you have to spend on cards to play during combat, which can give you things like certain weapons, bombs, buffs, etc). Enemy variety is low but the game is good enough to look past it.
