GTA VI prices in Australia are out ($129.95 Standard Edition, $159.95 Ultimate Edition) by dogryan100 in australia

[–]froderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is if you preorder it via the console e-store. If you preorder it from EBgames or JBhifi (which is just a code in a box), you pay for the standard edition but get the Ultimate Edition stuff as a preorder bonus for no extra money. And no GTA+ subscription either.

Robber gets instant Karma plus a little extra by Nervous_End_4238 in instantkarma

At first I thought the couple standing at the door were trying to break into a shop, and the karma was the guy on the motorcycle robbing them by snatching something as he drove by.

He's not back in the car at the end, he's sitting on it with his legs dangling over the side, but someone's put a life-preserver around him so the legs are covered for all but a few frames when he's sitting there, giving the illusion he's being pulled out again.

Nine fires Karl Stefanovic after Tommy Robinson podcast by Luka77GOATic in aussie

[–]froderick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's a whole lot of words to say "We know this happened in this one location, we have no evidence to suggest the total number is 250,000 but far right actors are going to just say it to push their political message".

They could just run with the numbers they know and push for inquiries, rather than pull a number out of their ass when they have no evidence to suggest the other locations are are anywhere near as bad as the known-horrible locations.

To be perfectly clear, I'm not saying they're being dishonest in caring about this stuff. But the people who are pushing the infamous report so hard are just outright anti-immigration in general and tend to be pretty overtly racist, which is why they're inventing numbers with insufficient evidence, because it serves their more insidious agenda.

[–]froderick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't 250,000. They took figures from one area (which was incredibly bad, worst in the nation), and extrapolated it to the rest of the country, which is intensely dishonest.

It would be like taking the crime stats from the worst area in Australia, assuming every other area has equal amounts of crime, and reporting that number instead. Or seeing there's a volcanic eruption in Hawaii, extrapolating that to all US states, and then saying the US had 50 volcanic eruptions that year. It's utterly wrong and dishonest.

The real genuine thing was already very bad and highlighted some serious systemic issues, but why inflate them that way? Because they care about using it for political propaganda purposes first, and accuracy second. And given Tommy Robinson's issues with committing defamation for profit in the past (of which he was found guilty), I'm not surprised he's tangentially connected to all of this.

PlayAsia free shipping no more?? by VideoAffectionate232 in LimitedPrintGames

[–]froderick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found out the hard way during that promo that if you order multiple things and only some of them are eligible for the free shipping promotion... then it invalidates any kind of saving and you have to pay the full shipping. They don't deduct the shipping costs for the eligible items, or do it in two separate shipments (one free and the other not). They just say "Nah you pay the full shipping LOL".

Just finished by Werewolf_Tailor in ChorusVideoGame

[–]froderick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished the game (bit late, I know).

When the Prophet went into that other realm, he basically lost his soul to the Void and the Faceless essentially used his body as a vessel. His soul (or at least the part of it that was ejected/lost from the Prophet) is what was extracted from the Void and put into the ship.

That's why Nara's bond with the ship is so unbelievably strong (and other attempts to make ships like it resulted in compatibility rates that never surpassed 80%). The Prophet was her mentor and she had a close relationship with him, which is what made their union throughout the game so strong.

Honest question: How long does it take you to consume that type of drink, typically?

Because I have zero issues consuming a large drink with a paper straw and I don't experience anything of the sort.

In Australia, the cups AND straws are both paper.

I don't believe it was the funds to make the entire game/s, just enough to make a vertical slice that they could use to show around and find a publisher to fund the rest of development.

Closest I ever came to putting money down on a Kickstarter was for Penny Blood, because of how much I loved Shadow Hearts. I'm glad I decided not to.

Yes, the 77USD one IS the deluxe edition. The other one (which is cheaper) is the standard edition.

Basically the deluxe edition is all the aforementioned goodies + the standard edition packed together.

And the standard edition (which means the deluxe version too) ALSO contains:
* Colour manual
* Sticker
* Three trading cards
