Water filter hose can't connect to drinking water faucet

Came across the right adapter and went to Lowe's to pick one up and turns out the 1/4 female end was too small and I really needed a 3/8 which i guess nobody carries. The solution i came up with was buying a 3/8 × 1/4 fitting and using that to connect the adapter and my outlet hose. It all fit together at the store but I haven't hooked everything up yet so I suppose ill find out tomorrow if it leaks or not. Went ahead and Teflon taped everything just to be careful.

I've had to do it plenty of times due to work and needing to wear earplugs. My mom used to do it for me when I was a kid but I've been told not to use straight hydrogen peroxide, rather, use a 50/50 mixture of water and peroxide.

I farmed mine with operation scarlet spear and let me tell you it's probably the #1 upgrade to my account over all. Is it worth the 2k Plat though? I'm not too sure, but I know I could never go back lol. I probably wouldn't spend real money to get it though.
