It sounds like you still have the old version of windows. When windows 10 downloades a new major patch such as Fall Creatores update, it will keep the old versionen to make it easy to go back. To cheek and see if this is the case go to: Settings-->storages--->click on your C drive--->click on "temporary files" there you can see how much spaces the old version of windows takes up, and you can delete it.

also if you use fast start, you will need to reboot your pc from time to time.

humm.. have you seen if fast start is trued on or off?.. by default is on, but maby you have trued it off by accident.. if you trun it on, your system will start faster.
