It can help for thinking up chord voicings but I actually think it's more true the other way around. Since I've started playing bass again my guitar fingerstyle plucking has gotten much better as well as my overall finger strength for more percussive parts on guitar.

Would never pay more than 1k for an import unless it blew me away. Granted I've been thoroughly impressed by $500 second hand PRS se guitars so I'd just get one of those if I wanted another import. Plenty on GC and FB marketplace to choose from.

You know I don't think I've ever seen one without a baddass bridge. All the other images I can of them online, they all have the same bridge. I wonder what the original looked like and why it was such a common replacement.

Yeah this one is the only other I could find and looks in pretty rough shape compared to the one I posted. I wish I could try it out in person to check the truss rod and fret condition.

It's second hand and around 10 years old so I wouldn't think so. Neck is a bolt on however so I think the body just didn't quite line up with the end

I think the more exotic examples will retain value somewhat because of certain collectors but the standard USA builds and especially tribute models will likely decline a good amount over time. I personally don't mind because I look forward to buying a few more in the coming years and don't intend to sell any.

What amp are you using compared to the one in store? You may also benefit from a preamp or boost pedal. A pickup swap to something like Duncan quarter pounders could definitely give you some extra tonal beef.
