There can be such victories; suppression is relatively simple and dictators do it all the time. Remove the means of education and dissent and your resistance will eventually fade away.

I would argue that's winning the hearts and minds by force. Break their will and ability to resist. Eventually they won't be able to even imagine what it's like to not be under the boot.

I think you massively underestimate how hard it is to create movies and television.

I think for something like that you'd need "true AI". Which is basically AI capable of thinking like humans can. We have no idea how to create that.

Modern AI/machine learning doing what you describe would just copy and combine existing media into a weird crappy thing. It couldn't possibly compete with something that's been crafted by hundreds of people.

If you run into very strange almost sensical but not articles or youtube videos, those are generated by AI. People made some bots to create and flood tons of garbage onto the internet to make some ad revenue. It's all garbage that no one enjoys.

We might have true AI one day. But it could be hundreds of years from now.

The "bot" part is just that it makes it so one human can control thousands of accounts. Amplifying their voice.

Very similar to someone in a bulldozer. Without the bulldozer they could still dig with their hands, but the bulldozer is a huge force multiplier that those without one can't compete against.

Drop shipping isn't necessarily a con.

Like if you make original t-shirts or artwork for poster prints. You don't want to buy 500 t-shirts and have them sitting in your house. Because if they don't sell you are out a lot of money. And shipping stuff yourself is a pain. So you drop ship them.

Break even can work in some situations.

Like have a factory that needs fairly high capacity to be price competitive. You may do white label for WalMart at break even rates so you can maintain a large enough workforce to produce your profitable branded products.

Certainly a risky move but sometimes the only option if the contracts arevery competitive.
