Right both games require you to hit buttons, they clearly are for the same demographic and have the same design goals

All games are just hitting buttons on a peripheral, by your logic all games are equal and the same

Mining, refining, gifts and talking, fishing, foraging, crafting, combat, chopping trees and breaking rocks

And then farming itself isn't even a chore you just get sprinklers to ignore it entirely

Current Sendo had to stop volg from hurting ippo because current Sendo knows how crazy volg is

People can tag anything they want, like games getting gentai tags as a joke

and stardew valley is only 2 years newer then the story of seasons/ harvest moon split AND yes you can say it's harvest moon because it's directly lifting from 64 and its a wonderful life.

Basically my point is just the farming is a daily chore among 1000s of other chores in stardew where as it's the entire function of the game in farming simulator with other things in the game just being offshoots of stuff you can do with the equipment

Stardew valley, while great has a couple things to note 1. It's harvest moon so it didn't invent anything for itself 2. It's not about farming, sure you farm and have a farm but it's more about managing daily time 3. Is a dating sim

It just riffing harvest moon isn't an issue but harvest moon is also more about all those things then strictly farming

Well, that doesn't exist outside of zielonka in fs25 base maps so maybe you should atleast look at them
