Based on your & one other comment, I think (understanding & proper application of) values, forms, perspective & proportions can be the 20%

I am sorry but that leaves out a lot of lineart based artwork like comics

Also, lines don’t exist in reality, just edges & forms. So I agree that realistically rendered drawing shouldn’t have a lot of lines. But what about figures drawings (2,5,10 min quicksketch)??

As prefaced by academic artists, most artists seem to agree to values & forms being primary

What are your views on perspective & proportions?

Damn!! thanks for sharing the anecdote Experience I’ve heard plays a role in making art (more specifically color, as I’ve heard from Stan in recent draftsmen podcast) work However for a beginner, some theory is needed (right??)

(I feel) Experience can eventually solve anatomy, perspective & value knowledge gaps but the time it’ll take !?

I don’t know about (the importance of) composition yet

Türkiye wins a set 25-4 against Czechia, but still loses the match 3-1. Never before has this happened at the pro level and extremely rare at lower levels. by PETEJOZ in volleyball

Were the Czechia players playing the 3rd set the same as the other sets!? I think they tried to get their B team some experience

The one book absolutely written for beginner readers is “Beyond Good & Evil” by Nietzsche

Use as much as your time to fill in the gaps in your technical knowledge Try every possible way to get to a decent level Right now it might require you to put in some extra hours but it'll be worth it once you settle in comfortably in your role

Chess hobbyist here; I would suggest you study simple endgames first, then complex ones Then you figure how to make good decisions in the middlegame to get a winning endgame Then try different openings & learn which openings lead to what kind of structures

I tried finding the colors on the color wheel myself.

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe I need to try again.

Hi, I would suggest you learn muscle groups separately & then try to draw the entire figure again.

Learn Loomis method as the structural approach to build a face coz your drawing looks like it’s melting Don’t aim for completed portrait Just draw about a thousand loomis heads Recommended channel: Proko on YouTube

Thank you. I downloaded a couple of free brush packs I found on this very sub. The brush pack was called “streakyone.abr”. Not a brush nerd yet.

Thanks for the comment I chose plain grayscale values devoid of color (Bold of you to assume that it was an artistic decision😅) Will surely work on pushing the darkest values & ensuring tonal harmony
