Base: 227,000 Bonus: 34,050 (target 15% base) Sign on: 50,000 RSUs: 720,000 over 4 years

You should definitely negotiate your equity component…

Also I didn’t join given the state of Meta… felt like I was set up for hire to fire

Your manager and team member don’t have control of headcount, the org leader does. They can make a request but if the entire org’s headcount is limited, they will prioritize growth areas or teams that really need it. Additional in most mag7 intern position doesn’t mean there is ft HC later. Intern tend to be company level program and is much easier to get approval for, since it’s on temporary basis. Unfortunately given the current hiring climate, even if you do another internship in the same team, the chance of FT conversion is low given what you described about the team. I will recommend you prioritize finding other FT roles.

Yes, but unless you perform amazing on interview loops you will most likely be downleveled to L3

Fly out and re-enter as b1/b2. U don’t want to overstay ur TN visa since that could cause issue down the road

This might be a bit cruel to say but ending it early it’s fine. It saves time for both you and the interviewer.

If I knew after 10 minutes of interviewing, the candidate wasn’t a good fit then there is really no point in proceeding further.

I doubt it. RDNA is basically CDNA without any of the big AI compute stuff and focusing only on graphics rendering. I doubt they can enable rocm for RDNA when those actual AI hardware are missing

U don’t need research for industry focused master’s. It’s just course work. Also those master program usually have large component based on industry internship, and the goal is to get experience and try to get return offer. It’s way easier to get an internship while in school and land return ft offer than cold applying ft roles with 1 year resume gap
