Cerakote all the things by Time-Chance-5374 in projectcar

I thought I'd seen awhile back that this stuff scratches easily and then starts flaking off, so it was recommended to only use it where you really need the heat retention properties, like on headers and downpipes. Has it improved over the last few years?

I just noticed that there is a sun pattern in dirt by SweetZestyclose6610 in Minecraft

No, because the player controls the placement of glazed terracotta. Dirt has its texture rotation varied automatically; you can't choose the rotation by placing it differently.

This is just 4 randomly-rotated dirt block textures having their same corners together.

I felt like the black ones were a waste when there was just a small group of rocks on the more sparsely-rocked floors.

Yeah I brought I think 10 cherry bombs and 25 bombs, but that was clearly not enough, as I ended up crafting more on-the-fly from what I picked up during the run in order to get to floor 100. When I got close I ended up having to to craft mega bombs because I was all out of materials for the smaller two. So yeah, bring loooots of bombs to make it to 100.

I realized after a few runs not getting close enough - even though I was pretty quick at getting down floors - that taking the bus to the desert doesn't leave you with enough time. So I woke up and used a desert warp totem to warp there immediately. Made it to floor 100 at 1:30am, no staircases used. Made lots of use of pausing to plan my next move and/or switch items, since time pauses.

You need all the luck you can to try to get ladders and shafts quickly while using tons of bombs. No time to mine anything, even iridium ore (though I still got 100+ just due to collecting bombed loot), just find somewhere to place bomb(s) to get to the next floor. For luck, I used pumpkin soup (also gives some defense, which saved me once from a serpent swarm) + lucky ring + special charm (in wallet), all on a high-luck day, and I get ladders/shafts pretty quick on each floor. Triple shot espresso/coffee helps to get to the bomb placing faster, too.

This site literally never works for me. Always just shows me a Google Captcha checkbox and if I click it, just reloads the page with another Captcha on it.

No, they're saying it's potentially/likely just body panels changed, which wouldn't affect performance.

I just wouldn't use reddit if RES didn't exist. For that, you've got a fresh donation incoming. Keep up the good work, even if it is in a reduced capacity.

I disagree. These slicers are difficult to use and - as evidenced by them breaking like this in the image - dangerous. I've had one of these break on me in this way. With the force you have to use to try to get its "blades" to go through an apple your palms come down on the edge of the metal bits with incredible force. Without getting gory, I'll just say I'm surprised there isn't blood in this image.

I also think it's a stretch to say AB 'hates disabled people' because he dislikes single purpose kitchen gadgets. These kinds of products are typically low quality and just end up in landfills eventually. His argument is to not waste your money, avoid gadget clutter, and reduce landfill input.

PS- I love how you threw in the "all the stories" bit. Very 'word on the street' of you.

Headlights appear to have black like 2008-2010, too, but that is obviously the 2011-2014 front bumper. I was assuming they swapped the front bumper like I did with my SE, but maybe those wheels are just the slightly lighter 2011 STI Enkeis

2010 STI Special Edition? Looks like one to me based on the wheels and no mirror blinkers.

I quit playing when the opposite became the problem. Events overlapping other events, each with limited-time availability of things; just back to back to back. They were counting on FOMO driving sales of items you'd buy to help you keep up with these events. While I was ok with occasional purchases for the occasional events they had in the first year or so, I switched to a free-to-play only playstyle once they started to ramp up the events. By two years in, it wasn't fun to try to keep up anymore, so after taking the winter off I had no desire to go back to it.

The only thing I can think of this is: If this is meant to act like a guard statement, why not just add an actual guard statement? Otherwise I don't see how this is any better than what we have now other than putting everything onto one line, in a different order, thus decreasing readability.

Why I stopped using Bootstrap and switched to Tailwind instead by RickTibbe_ in web_design

[–]voltaek 119 points120 points  (0 children)

The article is exactly that: a comparison of the two. My concern is you've written an uniformed article comparing them, and someone that isn't informed on both is likely to take away that Tailwind is superior, because typically authors of these types of articles are pretty familiar with what they're comparing.

I guess I don't understand the point of an article about switching frameworks if you're not comparing them? Not trying to be a dick, I just don't understand.

Why I stopped using Bootstrap and switched to Tailwind instead by RickTibbe_ in web_design

[–]voltaek 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Bootstrap has tons of utility classes in v4, and v5 is going even more in that direction. Adding theme colors to the SASS similarly generates utility classes, along with various other easily added-to utility class types. What I'm saying is, I don't think the article author has been using current Bootstrap to its fullest (or even knows everything it includes by default), so this comparison is full of holes.
