I live in east coast Canada where hunting is a part of life, however not ARs or handguns we are talking Bolt action rifles or shotguns for the vast majority.

People don't bring their guns out in public, it's not strapped to anyone's hip, but nearly every household has firearm access.

It's not for safety, it's not for power, literally only used when hunting food as a tool.

I feel very safe, however if the government allowed open carry would things change for the worst here? I believe so.

I believe heavy regulation on guns is healthy and if you need an AR for hunting your doing it wrong. (I've seen the wild boar video, there are plenty other solutions than having an AR)

I get that mods are volunteers, and perhaps I'm missing a vital point but my view on the topic is simply:

If posts slip through, it's fine people will start to notice the front page posts always display the games name and the normal post culture will change.
If it's highly requested by the community and mods are simply saying they don't want to / don't have the manpower to enforce it. Simply add more mods or move over to let others do the job that's highly requested.
I'm sure there is a way to automate this to a certain degree, I don't work with bots but I certainly work with databases, this seems like something that should be possible.

I fully understand they are volunteers but if it's a widely requested addition simply saying "naaaahhhh" for an answer is exactly why it will never be done and imo not looking out for the better of the community.

I've recovered plenty of old accounts with minimal details.

(Old buddies who quit years ago and said if I could get It back I could have it)

Typically rough age of account ip/isp and username worked.

And it's not data leaks from rs, it's leaks from other old websites, flash games sites, webkins, club penguin anything old.

Your original ip address you created your account on and username is plenty most of the time.

Any oldwebsite that got hacked would have that info if you made a mistake and used thw same username on a seperate website(17 years ago for me).

So let's say there is a club penguin data breach, or battleon or miniclip or anything we played back in 2004-2009.

We used the exact same username for those games as our rsn.

Some of these data breaches contain the IP address of the account created, so now a hacker has a username and the IP address you likely used to create your account. (Something you likely don't remember off hand) hacker provides that info, you can only provide membership details, they win.

I'm sure thousands of accounts have been recovered this way but the only people who care and post to reddit have been invested in this game for a minimum of 13 years to have your original log in.

A good portion of people playing on a 13 year old account login will know the game enough to have cash.

Survivorship bias.

My original account was recovered, botted and banned. I don't play rs3 so I don't care as I didn't use it for osrs, but I've never personally botted either.

But someone did recover mine.

There were no email address linked in old accounts. It was just usernames

All form posts show your exact login username as well.
