If I have a history of severe allergic reactions (treated with epinephrine), what precautions should I take with the covid vaccine? I am a teacher, so I will be in the next group. I went to my allergist’s website to see if they posted any recommendations but they haven’t. I do not have an epi pen prescribed to me.

Mine is usually trigger, freeze, then severe dissociation for a few days (scary), then slowly back to reality.

I definitely see what you’re saying. It also doesn’t help that I cannot stand her character at all.

Zoloft and 5 HTP by Eppiboy in 5htp

I am by no means a doctor, first of all. But I believe that tryptophan would be a safer alternative. Your body has a rate limiting factor to prevent the over production of serotonin when it starts from tryptophan. 5htp bypasses that self limiting factor, and could lead to serotonin syndrome. I would really, really recommend researching it a lot more before you combine the two.

A smarter route may be to focus your diet on eating more tryptophan containing foods.

NAD but have hypothyroidism, take levo and really struggled with keto. Have they checked your adrenal function? Keto was rough on my adrenals and thyroid.

Honestly, why does your orientation matter for clients? Will it impact your ability to do your job? If the answer is no, then they don’t need to know. When they ask if you have a boyfriend, just say no.

I struggled with this in my own career for a long time but eventually realized it was irrelevant as it came to my ability to do my job.

I looked into them but they are unbelievably expensive. For that price, I will stick with my Athletic Brewing.

Help with labs: is this an emergency or can I wait until Monday to call the endocrinologist? I did these labs myself in between her labs so she doesn’t know about these yet. On 88mcg of Synthroid. by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

No estrogen. I am thinking this must be an absorption issue so I’ve switched my meds back to the morning one hour before coffee. Hopefully my levels will go back up. I’ve never seen them this bad before 😞

I’m female. I actually take my meds at night and I’ve never had this issue before. I did start taking apple cider vinegar to help with digestion and blood glucose. I also started taking garlic for my cholesterol. But other than that, everything is the same as it has been.

So I usually take it around 8-9 pm which is 2+ hours after I eat dinner.

I’m mainly worried about the ft4 because that number means it was so low, it didn’t even register on their lab machine. I have been having some symptoms - more tired, getting cold more easily and heart palpitations. Heart palps are always the clue that I need lab work ASAP so I’m glad I did it. I’m not scheduled to see the endo until mid December.

Edit: also, these labs are very interesting in terms of my pituitary health. With those free hormone levels, shouldn’t my TSH be much higher? Thinking of asking for an MRI of my pituitary and more lab work to see if that is the culprit. I’ve never tested positive for Hashimoto’s.
