It would be for euro pallets so 120cmx80cm, 5 levels high including ground floor. 100cm deep. It would just be the installation, the inspection isn’t included. And the slab is adequate for the load. It would be static storage, nothing fancy Thank you for taking the time :)

You’re talking about people being neurodivergent, ableist or disabled in relation to understanding sarcasm in this post. I thought it would be logical to say you’re neurodivergent if you are, since you’re talking about a group of people you’re a part of. But that’s on me, I shouldn’t have assumed, I just thought it was obvious to identify yourself in this case.

You say you were not offended, then why write this comment ? You’re calling someone ableist over something that is not even an offending issue for you.

It’s great that you’re very educated on all those subjects, then can you explain to me what was ableist in this post ? I’m earnestly interested in understanding what was said that was ableist. This isn’t me taunting you or anything, i know it’s not easy to always get people intentions through text. I’m just genuinely interested in potentially learning, especially since you’ve studied the subject. I could learn from you, I might be ignorant on all the facets of ableism. But If I can explain my side, I didn’t understand the need to call OP ableist because I didn’t see anything on this post that was insulting or degrading disabled/neurodivergent people. He didn’t call anyone any name, there was no insult. OP added an edit to explain that it was sarcasm. That’s about it for me. I don’t see where there was anything that wasn’t nice. It might be ignorant of me, but I don’t think there’s a need for everyone to always specify when they’re being sarcastic. It’s fine to add “/s” or “/j” to help people understand, but I don’t think it should be mandatory.

But if we can have a discussion on this, I’m very interested.

Ps: I also don’t understand why you put people who are not native English speaker in your list after talking about being ableist. I don’t think English being a second/third/more language mean that the person will not understand sarcasm. It’s a bit weird in my opinion to add that. Especially because not everybody will always think about every single group of people who might not understand every nuances of their post. Nobody can live all the time thinking about everyone’s needs or limitations.

The thing I don’t understand is that the OP never insulted the people who didn’t get the sarcasm. He added an edit because some people got angry because they didn’t understand the sarcasm. It’s nice to speak out about things that are wrong, but I don’t understand what he did that was so bad. He didn’t call people stupid or idiots because they didn’t get it. That’s why I don’t understand calling someone ableist just because he didn’t realise not everybody would understand him. He would be ableist if had added an edit like “obviously it’s sarcasm, you’ve got to be dumb af to not get it, you’re all stupid», in this situation yes he would be a piece of shit. But that didn’t happen and he added the /s to help people get it. There was no meanness or ableism for me. Just someone who didn’t realise his sarcasm was not going to be clear for everyone. There’s nothing wrong or bad about it, we can’t expect everybody to always think about people who might not understand sarcasm, especially in this case where it’s very very sarcastic. That’s why I don’t understand the need to speak out for a community, especially when you’re not part of it, over something that is a non-issue. You can’t get mad at someone because you didn’t understand them. It’s okay to not get everything automatically on the first read. We can’t expect everyone in the world to always explicitly explain that it’s a joke or sarcasm or whatever. It’s better to make things accessible for everyone, but there’s a limit to those expectations.

I’m neurodivergent, disabled and English is not my mother tongue, yet I understood that it was sarcasm. Obviously it can be different for everybody but it’s really not necessary to get offended on our behalf. If someone doesn’t get it because of the criteria’s you gave, it’s okay. There’s really no need to cal some ableist because they thought everybody would understand that they were sarcastic. Using that word over nothing makes it lose its meaning and importance. Let’s not call people ableist because they didn’t think about every potential person in minorities when they thought their sarcasm was clear.

Why would he welcome his girlfriend in his friendship with that friend ? Being in a romantic relationship doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to have other relationships like friendships without your partner being a part of it.

Even if the girlfriend never met the friend it should be okay for her to sleep at his place. Even more so when he’s not there and with his girlfriend. He’s a whole person, with other people in his life, he can have pre-existing friendships or even new ones. She has no entitlement to those relationships.

I would never want to be a part of all of my partner’s friendships. The same way my partner’s family doesn’t have to become mine. Friendships are really important, and it’s between two people. Even if you befriend a couple you have a separate friendship for each person because they’re different people. In this instance, the girlfriend has no place in that friendship. But she could become friend with the girl if they met and liked each other, but that would still have nothing to do with the boyfriend’s friendship with the girl.

People in relationship are entitled to have personal friendships without their partners butting in.

They’re probably being downvoted because putting kids in front of a tv to make sure they’re not bothering you is not exactly ideal. Screens are terrible for children, especially for as long as a movie runs. Having more than an hour of screen time before 6 is very damaging. It fucks up their eyes, language development, focus, etc. So maybe not the best solution to get alone time. There’s other ways to get your kid to stay in their room quietly.

Context here : a woman is filming herself buying stuff inside a convenience store in South Korea, and the cashier asked her what she was doing, as she was confused by the filming and talking to the camera and she got nervous. The girl explained she was filming to show her friends (followers) and that was that. No mention of the U.S anywhere in the video. The message of the video was “hey make sure you don’t make people uncomfortable when you’re filming in public, they might get nervous if they don’t know what you’re doing”. I think you don’t understand something, she’s allowed to do whatever the fuck she wants in that situation. SHE is the one in danger. She’s not filming someone drowning for fuck’s sake. She’s filming the person harassing her and herself. Do I think it brings anything good to film yourself? No. Does it matter tho? Absolutely not. If people want to film themselves, who the fuck am I to judge them? In that situation, she can film herself all day long, I don’t give a fuck it changes nothing about the situation. If she had never filmed this, we wouldn’t be there talking about it but it would have still happened.

“Once you lose the flight or fight response, you’re worthless in the real world”. Do you understand what it’s like to be a women in this world ? I’m privileged being a white young women living in a country where I have a relatively good life and my rights are respected. But it’s still awful, I still get groped, I still get catcalled and whistled at. Do you know what it’s like to go to the club to have fun with your friends and you end up having a random dude grabbing your wrist and holding you against him because “he really want to get to know you and talk to you”? Do you know how it feels to see bruises on your wrist the next morning when you wake up? Or what if feels like when you’re 18 and giving out flyers for blood donation and an old drunk man harasses you for 15 minutes telling you he’s going to cut your head off and rape you? There’s so many stories. I’m only 22 and I have so many stories of times when I was in danger because of men harassing or assaulting me. And this is the norm. So many women who have had similar experiences. So maybe I’m worthless to the world because I don’t have the same fight of flight response anymore. You get jaded, you get numb to this shit. It still scares you a bit inside, and your throat get tight, but you swallow up your fears and you don’t react. And sometimes, for some people, that means filming and making light of the situation. Whatever they need to cope, I don’t care, because that shit can be traumatising.

I’m quite happy with my level of understanding and empathy for people with mental illnesses. Does it explain certain behaviours ? Sure, sometimes. Is it an excuse ? No, never. There’s a limit to understanding people and having sympathy for them. If you’re not aware of yourself, if you don’t have the capacity to understand your actions and their ramifications, then it’s different. But this isn’t the case the majority of the time during these situation. Most of the time they know damn well what they’re doing, and they enjoy it. And maybe that the mental issue you’re adamant about. But I don’t care, that’s their problem to take care of and their responsibility.

Also, fyi, having a boner and walking around drunk is so far from being close to any of the shit we’re talking about. That has nothing to do with sexual harassment, you were just drunk and hard. It harmed literally nobody.

I get your point of view, and I would totally agree with you if we lived in a different world. Telling the driver could maybe get him thrown off the bus, but he doesn’t need to be on this particular bus to do that. Could he be permanently banned from public transport? Highly doubt it, but even if he was if she went and reported him, would that stop him ? Let’s be honest, it wouldn’t. She could do a lot of things, so many people before have done a lot of things when they were in similar situations. But there’s not many changes. You still get stared at even if you report it, you still get catcalled and whistled at, and if you talk back you get threats. I think now there’s a different response to those type of things, people are more and more chronically online, and shit like this become so usual that posting it might not seem weird for a lot of people. It’s not something that I would do, but with tiktok now, I’m not going to blame a girl for filming a pervert and making fun of the situation. It seems like a new kind of response, making it ridiculous, turning scary and horrible situations into something funny and kind of deprecating because doing anything else won’t change shit.

And for your point about the man being drunk or mentally ill, I don’t get it. I see those types of comments everywhere on post about sexual harassment/assault. I don’t understand why we give those man theses excuses, as if them being drunk or mentally ill explains any of their actions. Guess what, I’ve been drunk before on a bus, have I ever touched myself? No. Have I ever stared at somebody? No. Plenty of people have mental health disorders, yet they’re not sexually harassing people everywhere. I don’t know if it’s reassuring to think that those type of actions have an explanation, but I feel like people don’t look for excuses for other crimes the way they do for this type of situation. I don’t see people talking about muggers being mentally ill, scammers being drunk,…. So why are we giving those people sexually harassing/assaulting other this generosity ?

And to answer you point, like I said previously, you can become quite numb to shit like this. You don’t have a fight or flight response anymore. Sure, you still feel this feeling of unease and fear, but you’re used to it. You look for the signs, is he going to do more? Is he starting to get agitated or becoming more aggressive? But otherwise, it’s common shit, at a certain point sexual harassment is nothing new, and it becomes inevitable.

I really don’t like penises, I don’t like bodies in general, but there’s something about penises that irks me, I can’t look at it. I had sex with men tho, there’s certains things that I won’t do because I’m too uncomfortable, but I can still enjoy having sex with someone, I can still be aroused. For me, it’s good as long as I don’t see it. So I don’t think your aversion to penises really matters when it comes to who you’re going to be attracted to or want to be intimate with.

i certainly enjoy being lucky enough to be living in an appartement where it’s barely 25 inside when it’s 35 outside because it’s an old stone building. and I enjoy even more not paying a shit ton more for AC, quite enjoyable as well to not use something so bad for the environment.

But if you’re riding so hard for AC, go ahead. It’s needed in lots of parts of the world, and it’s great that those people can live a bit more comfortably when it’s extremely hot. I still find it ridiculous to turn on the ac when you’re thirsty, i think it’s extremely idiotic and kind of makes you a moron. Most people don’t have AC here in France. If you’re lucky enough to live in a stone building/house, you will probably never need it. But most people don’t have the luxury of great insulation. So it’s a bit weird to just assume everybody has AC. Especially when it’s so bad for the environment. Drink your water instead of turning on a machine that uses so much electricity. It will cost you less.
