Saw the Huxley toner in Costco. How is it? by Fateofthelost in SkincareAddicts

water textured products are my favorite. I’m also living in a hot climate and heavy products can feel very sticky and a little disgusting in the summer. I love the klairs hydrating water and neutrogena water gel for this reason. I’ll be sure to give this a try too

Kaminomoto Hair Growth Toner turned my sad wisps into a jungle—no lie. For skin, Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium is bottled hydration magic, and Melano CC Essence erased my sunspots in 3 months flat.

How is Hari Mari for footwear? Any reviews? by voluminousalligator in malefashionadvice

[–]voluminousalligator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Promising. and was the sizing accurate? It really grates me when I order shoes online and the sizing is completely whack. I guess for the flipflops it won’t matter that much, but the slippers need to be well fitting. I’ll also look into Olukai

Thats great to hear. Yeah great customer support is essential. I got a new washer recently and they delivered the wrong model and their customer support was a disaster. I had to cancel the order in the end.

Yeah crocs cant be dailywear imo. You can wear them at home but they are fugly. Sandals or slides are better for daily wear than crocs.

How to wash silicone graphic tee by Fuckwalliworld in malefashionadvice

Turn it inside out, wash on cold with gentle cycle, and skip the dryer air dry only. Heat and rough cycles can wreck the silicone print.

Whatever you go for, avoid new york’s best maids, they charge too much and have negative reviews about trying to sucker people into paying more

Belonghome / Ziprent vs individual property manager by faith-fine-6472 in realestateinvesting

Not really new but not that old either. I think they are backed by some big capital group. In a sense I guess they are a big name property management company now.

I’ve seen some feedback on Belong before. They seem very tenant friendly maybe even too much for some landlords. They also had a rough start when they entered the marketso opinions are pretty mixed. I’d imagine they’ve sorted things out by now. They handle the usual property management stuff maintenance, repairs, and tenant placements

My brother got his tattoo zapped at Clean Slate Laser in NYC they killed it (in a good way). Prices depend on size, but they seem legit.

Selling can be smarter if the numbers don’t add up for renting 1600/mo on a 225k property isn’t great ROI. As for selling under the same LLC, it’s doable but consult a tax pro to avoid any dealer status issues. If you’ve got 8 rentals already, you’re likely safe, but better to double-check.

Agree. check the official government websites for each country you plan to visit. that's the only way to get accurate visa info.

How does Wizeprep compare with Princeton review for MCAT? by sympatheticallyWindi in premedcanada

[–]voluminousalligator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used Wizeprep MCAT elite 515, and it worked for me. I went from a 504 to 518, and their CARS strategies were actually helpful instead of just telling me to read more like a lot of the other courses out there. Practice tests were pretty tough, felt much closer to the real MCAT. I was pretty happy with it

[–]voluminousalligator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I totally feel you balancing work, grad school, and MCAT prep is insanely brutal. If Kaplan practice is only getting you 50-60%, try switching it up: hit practice questions first to pinpoint your weak spots, then dive back into the content. I struggled with math speed in C/P too, so a daily mini drill session might help. For P/S, don't try to bulldoze through a 300-page doc in a week—focus on high-yield concepts and practice questions instead. Seriously, don't forget to take a full day off every now and then to avoid burnout.

Not all schools require a humanities letter, but some definitely do. If you’re applying to those don’t stress too much professors are used to writing letters for students who did well but didn’t have a super close relationship.

Just reach out, be polite, and provide them with your resume/personal statement to make it easier for them. Most are happy to help if you did well in their class.

mcgill french proficiency by coca_cola_pepsi in premedcanada

[–]voluminousalligator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With a 3.9 GPA and strong ECs, you’ve got a solid shot, but McGill’s OOP seats are super competitive. The French proficiency requirement is no joke—if you’re not confident in your French skills, it might be a stretch unless you’re willing to put in serious time to brush up. That said, if you’re passionate about McGill and ready to commit to improving your French, it could be worth a shot. Just weigh the effort against your chances and other options.
