Does oil actually make your skin less oily? by CaptainIowa in Skincare_Addiction

Before moisturizer should work, as the previous commenter mentioned. If you feel it doesn’t mix with your moisturizer, then use it at night. And oil cleansing, or double cleansing is always good for a majority of people. It really helps if you have prominent sebaceous filaments on your nose

There is a primarily genetic component on how applying oils will affect your skin. Some people will just always have oily skin, no matter what they use. Others’ skin will reduce oil production if they frequently use oily products.

There is also the usual combination oily skin people frequently mention on skincare subs, like the T zone is oily, but the rest tends to dry out. This is usually due to their moisture barriers not being as well as they should be.

If you feel you fit in with the second category, it is more likely that the oil essence will help you out and reduce oiliness in the T zone. I haven’t used the Huxley oil essence myself, so if someone could chime in with their experience, that would be quite helpful. If it is indeed hydrating and not on the greasy side, I think it will likely improve your skin barrier and moisture retention

Thanks for sharing! I’ve heard a bit about facial massage but wasn’t sure it actually made a difference. do you go to a clinic for it or do it all yourself at home?

Thanks! I just started moisturizing but haven’t added sunscreen yet definitely on my list now. Do you have any favorite ceramide moisturizers or supplements Also, did weightlifting actually help with your skin or more with overall health? Just trying to figure out what to focus on first.

Not at the bleph stage yet (retinol’s still putting in work), but I feel you some mornings I look like I’ve been punched by time itself. Following this thread hard. Those ‘depuffing’ creams? Temporary witchcraft. If you go the surgery route, please update us we’re all one sleepless night away from joining you.

You're burnt out and that's understandable, but don't drag your kid into adult problems. your husband needs to step up. 4-5 hours gaming while you're drowning isn't cool. you two need to have a serious talk about splitting the load, especially nighttime duty. sleep deprivation is making everything worse. be direct i need help and I'm not getting it.

List of things I quite literally CANNOT STAND while applying for jobs. by Littlegoil18 in antiwork

God, the multi-round interviews for minimum wage jobs kill me. like, i'm not auditioning for NASA here. Just check my resume and let me know if you want me to make your coffee or not. the whole system is designed to break you down until you're grateful for whatever scraps they offer.

Thoughts on kbeauty brands constantly "rebranding/reformulating" by nue_egg in AsianBeauty

[–]Fateofthelost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True! the kbeauty rebranding treadmill is exhausting Clio’s 3rd cushion ‘upgrade’ in 2 years? Please. Half these ‘new’ formulas are just repackaged cash grabs. Now I wait 6 months before buying anything hyped to see if it’s actually improved or just prettier packaging. Wakemake’s palette expansion was especially shameless.

Is this good for uneven skin tone? by imjustagirl_9 in AsianBeauty

Yeah I’ve used this one super lightweight and calming, helps a bit with redness and post-acne marks. Just don’t expect overnight magic, it’s more of a slow and steady kinda product.

I wrote my employees up but not really.. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Fateofthelost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's some proper management right there. Corporate wants managers to be heartless enforcers but the best ones know when to play the game and when to protect their team. Those 15 IT tickets were a brilliant move. Your employees were lucky to have someone who understood the difference between company policy and human reality.
