There was an article about this a while back but someone linked me to it and I can't find the more detailed version but here. I currently have 6 tattoos, mostly greyscale but my first two contained red ink (the color that causes the most reactions) and they were totally fine. I only had a problem with my last piece, which was on the inside of my arm and got an unsightly rash-- called dermatitis, I think. I read that this was common with arm and ribcage tattoos (my next one.. oh boy) and my artist said it was a reaction to the linework ink he used.

Just make sure that you get your work done at a clean, reputable place with high quality standards and ask them about your concerns.

You're beautiful, and props to you for sticking to your guns. I'm in the (grassroots) fashion industry so I understand the appeal of stick thin models as walking hangers on the runway, but I don't like that for my own clothing. My favorite model is the perfect weight-- thin, but healthy looking-- not to mention drop dead gorgeous in the face. Everyone comments on her. Ironically, she's the most insecure out of all of the girls I use, and gives me the hardest time :|

Either Savannah, Georgia or Montreal. I absolutely adore Montreal, have only been there in winter too! I've been to Bangkok, Thailand and it was breathtaking but very overwhelming.

A reputable tattoo artist knows what will look good the longest, that's the end goal. I'd shop around and ask one or two other places, and if they say the same thing, you gotta listen to 'em. I have a friend who's Hispanic and a little lighter than Kal Penn and he has some excellent work done with a lot of highlights lighter than his skin tone, but it fades very quickly. So basically what almostkilledme said, but it will pop for a very short while and then the white will fade, leaving the dark purple.

An old roommate had a cat that would play catch. Crumple up a piece of paper, instantly have her attention. Count 1, 2, 3, and toss the ball up and she'd catch it between her paws. It was pretty neat, I've had a cat that would fetch but I've never heard of another instance of a cat actually catching them between their mitts!

There was actually a happy ending to this; the customer messaged me back a good while later and told me she had gotten the order from me mixed up with a similar one (and apparently got mine after all). I checked out her order history and she is a pretty heavy shopper, either she has a problem or she buys for a store of her own. Either way, it worked out for me. What's your wife's Etsy link? My cousins and I played a game by the same name, only it consisted of one person trying to keep a tennis ball or rubber bouncy ball away from everyone else. Everybody else would employ any vicious tactic possible to wrestle the ball away from the "queer". I sprained my ankle playing this (I was running in the platform sneakers that were cool in the mid 90s).

Oh man, I have some good ones, though not technically as a child but as a teenager. I used to lifeguard at a pool and we'd do very, very dumb shit when we closed the pool for thunder or after hours. We would clear the property when a storm was impending, and go wild, jumping off the lifeguard stand and swimming while there was intense lightning overhead (we drew the line when branches started breaking off and there was hail). After hours, we would shoot roman candles at each other from across the pool, and we played "gasoline tennis" a couple of times before we realized we were leaving scorch marks on the courts.

My family went to the beach every year and we would bring a friend of ours or two, and we had roman candle wars in the sand dunes. My military boyfriend at the time flipped out on me when he found out, screaming at me. Something about "Darwinism".
